Bicarbonate soda

It's cleans my oven along with white vinegar like new (and it was minging)

So I googled other uses for it and you can whiten and remove stains from teeth, so I decided to try it as I always get a stain on my bottom tooth (smoking and coffee) and I've tried everything to get it off inbetween dentist visits and ice just tried it and it's literally took the stain off in seconds!

Just thought I'd share the highlight of my night while everyone in here is in bed

A small dish of it in the fridge absorbs smells.

It's good stuff.

How did you do the teeth thing? Make a sort of paste and smear it on? How long did you leave it for? I may be a bit over-excited about this.

I buy big bags of this. My old cat went through a phase of pissing all over the place in my ebay room. By the time I realised, there were piles of clothes that were totally stinkified, and washing alone doesn't shift cat piss smell.
A wash with bicarb sorted it.

I have used this for years. It is exceptional at getting the smell of sick out of carpets or in the car. Just sprinkle loads on the area and leave, I leave overnight, and Hoover up. Amazing and so cheap. Never used it for the oven but I am going to try.

armandhammer.co.uk

Arm and Hammer is the leading baking soda brand of toothpaste if you don't want to use it on its own.

Personally I find the taste disgusting but it is very effective.

I use it as a skin neutraliser after a lactic, glycolic or salyicic acid peel.

Citrus tooth powder

1 tbsp dried lemon or orange peel
6 tsp baking soda
1 tsp sea salt

Place peel in food processor, grind until it becomes a fine powder. Add baking soda and salt, then process for a few seconds more until you have a fine powder. Store in an airtight jar.

Peppermint Toothpaste

6 tsps baking soda
1/3 tsp salt
4 tsps glycerine
15 drops peppermint oil

Mix ingredients together thoroughly until a paste forms. Store in an airtight jar

If you mix it with bleach and make a paste then put it on black/yellow mildew stains around the bath and leave it for 30 mins or so then wash off, it'll get rid of the black marks. I love bicarbonate of soda.

I just put a couple of spoonfuls of water in a bowl and then added The powder to make a paste, then I dried my tooth that had the stain smeared some on with my finger and left it for seconds the first time and the stain just came away then I done it again and left it for a couple of mins and then scraped if a bit stain completely gone then I dipped my toothbrush in and brushed my teeth

I wouldn't say it's a minging taste but it's salty, I'm now going to save a fortune at the dentist getting that small stain removed!!

I make my own toothpaste with it

Bicarbonate soda
Coconut oil or water to mix to desired consistency
Peppermint oil - add till desired taste

And then brush like normal with it

It's really good for shifting tea stains out of mugs and teaspoons. Just rub the inside of the stained mug with some. The bicarbonate goes tea-coloured and the mug is sparkling.

Oh, and bicarb plus vinegar is good for breaking down limescale.

Poor on top of vomit (after you've picked up all the lumps) and leave for a day. When you've Hoovered it up it'll be completely dry and won't smell.
