Stupid Facebook selling.

Real post I've seen this week.

"Got some cheap stuff for sale if you want anything"

Cue 20 posts along the lines of;

"Have you got a patio heater hun?"

"No sorry"

Have you got a wheelbarrow?

No, haven't got a wheelbarrow.
Xx

3 days later the thread is still going strong. 20 people have been disappointed that the seller doesn't have what they want and the seller has made no effort to make any suggestion what she does have.

Has anyone actually asked what she does have? Or is it like a 20 questions sort of challenge? Grin

Noones asked apart from asking for specific things which she doesn't have.

I'm keen to see how long it is before someone hits the jackpot and asks for something she does have.

In the meantime I'm tempted to ask her for some really random stuff. Gas masks?

Facebook selling pages give me the rage, especially things like 'hm an weres pick up?'
I also see posts like 'having a clear out, will post pics if any interest, need the space so need gone today'.. yeah, good luck with that.

I think Facebook selling is ripe for a spoof / tumblr.

You see so many ridiculous things like that.

Most irritating, as I've posted about before, is the unnecessarily mardy and grammatically incorrect 'needs gone today'. Arghhh! Be more organised then and fuck off!

Ask for fork handles and four candles.

There's one boiling my pis at the moment on my local one - someone giving away six kittens for free. People keep advising her to do home checks, contact rescue centre etc, but she's just giving them away to every Tom Dick or Harry who responds "me plz" Angry

They wind me up so much! Have seen some hysterical random ones like that though where it goes on for ages.

Also people reporting others to the admins because people are being rude to them and when you look on the post (irresistible as it has 50 comments!) you see that they are not being rude but trying to clarify what the hell the donut is trying to sell as their spelling/grammar is so bad it may as well be in another language!

Worst one I ever saw - "Free, two guinea pigs, hutch and food. Now have puppy so kids aren't interested any more. Want them gone today".
I'm glad to say she got absolutely torn to shreds AngryAngryAngryAngry. And a lovely lady, (acquaintance of mine), adopted them, (and gave the woman a piece of her mind once she'd got them safely stashed in the car!)

He came back with '£20'

To much but thanx anyway hun.

Properly laughing out loud at this. Funny because it's so true Grin

On my local selling page there's a running theme of people stating the price and then about 10 people will reply saying "Is the lowest u would go"

I so want a seller to reply with, well I said 200 but I really meant a fiver hun, u interested?

I'm going to be getting another Baby Oleg toy soon and will sell that. Selling them normally causes a virtual punch up as everyone wants to spend £30 on a shit toy.
