Am seriously thinking about buying the jane rebel car seats for my twins due in January. Does anyone have any experience about whether they fit in most cars or not? Do not want the stress of buying a new car and not being able to fit the car seats in. Please help am starting to have nightmares about everything that is going to happen in the next few months and quite honestly am bricking it!

the only way to be sure is to get it fitted and checked by a qualified fitter. hth

I have used my Jane Powertwin for two and a half years and love it, in my opinion it's the best double buggy on the market for twins (I've been through 6!)

Sadly the only downside for me was fitting the carseats. I found them difficult to secure - the straps were very fiddly and awkward. They also didn't seem that safe, I could never get the belt around them tight enough. I moved my twins into forward facing Maxi Cosi seats earlier than recommended as the Jane seats seemed so unsafe. That said, they must meet all the standards so perhaps it was just the fit with my car, or it was me - I am generally a bit of a muppet when it comes to assembling things!

If I had my time again I would buy one Jane seat and another more reliable make. One baby can lay flat in the back of the Powertwin so you would only need one of their carseats.

If you go to a big Mothercare World they will help you to fit them - it's worth trying them out before you buy, I wish I had!

I've used one in 4 different cars, and it hasn't fitted that well in any of them (best was in front seat of an Audi A6 with the airbag turned off). If I'd had my time again I'd have bought another make tbh.

I owned a Jane carseat a few years back and it was dreadful to fit into the car (and onto the chassis of my jane buggy). It made my life a misery, ended up using a graco someone loaned me most of the time. Best thing tbh is choose/get the car first & then do the buggy/car seat thing. You can't guarantee that any car seat will fit into any car.

You can check the car seat manufacturer website usually against the model you're looking at. If you pop back over to the regular antenatal group twins thread, we've all looked at every car under the moon for dt's!
