EasyWalker DuoWalker vs. Mountain Buggy

Hi, I am pregnant with twins and can't decide which double buggy to buy. I like the EasyWalker DuoWalker and the Mountain Buggy - any reviews/opinions on either?? Which would you go for?? Thanks

I have 14 month old twins, and went for the urban terrain double buggy. Don't know the other one you mentioned, but can't recommend the mountain enough. It's just fab. Fits through a standard door - essential with two, you can lay the twins flat ( get the newborn head supports though at kiddicare.com. They were around £15 each, but needed them ) comes with a rain cover, lots of space underneath, so easy to steer, you can swivel it 360 degrees with one hand. I got mine from twoleftfeet.co.uk It's quite expensive but lasts up to they're 4 years old.

Thank you - is it quite bulky to fit in the car boot, We have a VW touran but will need to use at least one of the seats right at the back which halves quite a large boot in 2

Haven't got either (decided to stick with the nipper 360 and live without a carrycot) but probably would have chosen the mountain buggy out of the 2. Resale value is better at the mo on the mountain buggy (prob due to newness of duowalker) and apparently the carrycots are easier to fit onto the mountain buggy. Having said that I believe the fold on the duowalker is better (smaller) than the mountain buggy and the colours are fab!

I have a MPV - got the car for that reason! Yes it is bulky, have you tested either of them out? I tested the nipper 360 , and originally went to get that, then saw the mountain buggy and that changed my mind. The nipper is a lot smaller in comparison - think it only goes up to 2 years. If you do decide on the mountain get the black.

I haven't tested them - there is no shop near me that stocks the duowalker - only a few places on line sell it so bit worried about buying something that I can't try. We have just recently bought our Touran - we have 2 children already (one will be 6 when twins born and the other 2) and thought that the Touran would be big enough for a family of 5 (before we found out it was twins) so no hope of changing the car (sad)

My four year old still fits in our nipper (but I don't let him!) I would definitely consider one if you don't want a carrycot. Very lightweight as well as compact folding so you could easily stand it up.

I have a moutain buggy double, would suggest getting the urban so the wheels at front move or can be fixed.

I am about to sell mine if interested in black second hand? have just the one cot attachment for new born it worked fab for us and really was fine in shops, country, beach and running with.

I have the Duowalker ... it's fantastic. Like you, compared it and Mountain Buggy (as well as the Out n About Nipper, Jane PowerTwin etc). Was able to view both but in shops 20 miles apart. The Duowalker is less bulky than the Mountain buggy when folded although we can't get it to fold as flat as it claims that it folds. That said, it fits into the boot of our Galaxy with all 3 rows of seats up. It is easy to push - very light, no problems with pavements etc, turns beautifully. Putting it up and collapsing it are no bother and it's a little lighter than the MB ... in weight as well as on the wallet . It doesn't have the same resale value, however. We bought ours without the carrycots - on the basis that we already had access to two carrycots for the babies to sleep in during the day and they wouldn't be in it for extended periods during their first months. We have the seats right back and line them with a blanket to make them cosier although I'm thinking about buying sheepskins. Had planned to use the bottom half of the Easywalker footmuff but the top doesn't come right off. The Easywalker carrycot does not come as a double option like the Mt Buggy but as two single carrycots and IMHO they're pretty small and I can't see a baby fitting in them for 6 months ... although the guy who sold us ours claims his son did. The seats in the Mt Buggy are probably a bit cosier but the Easywalker seats are still pretty good. We also like the fact that although there are only 3 recline positions on E'walker (compared to whatever position you want on the Mt Buggy), the seats are reclined by way of releasing zips (as opposed to the strap system used on the MB). HTH ... we really like our E/Walker but at the end of the day it comes down to personal taste.

Def agree with Sammyc. I have the urban mb and it def makes a difference. . . .especially as they get older and heavier! I recently bought o'baby double stroller - for beach etc. and must say the mb is so much easier to push/steer. My two must weigh around 5-6 stone between them, so do consider that too. I decided not to get the carrycots - purely due to pennies, and to be honest I didn't need them. I took my two out every afternoon for a walk in the park for 1-2 hours since they were 5 weeks old and they slept beautifully in it. Also consider getting snuggle buggles. I got mine from kiddicare.com and during the winter months was glad I did.

hi cataisolidav, i am almost 14 weeks with twins and have decided on the mb double so i can have the double carrycot. i currently have the mb single urban elite and its fantastic. i had the double before when i had my second baby as there was only 16months between them. it is a super buggy and so easy to push, even on the deep sand at the beach with a big weight difference in the seats.

I have one I have one - but its in the shed as am a supersticious loon and won't have new pram in the house before baby

I chose the dupwalker over the mountainbuggy as it has the facility to take a car seat as well as carry cot or both seats

got if sent from abroad at a much cheaper price and they stock all the colours - was told 6wks and it was here in 3 days

am thrilled even though not out of box - it will be in 3wks though if you can wait that long

Oh that's a good website. Although, shop around here. If you join TAMBA you get 10% discount from quite a few suppliers. Also, the Euro isn't great against the pound at the moment so the savings mightn't be as good as that Dizzydixies got. I priced ours online at around £499, locally it was £425 and we got it for £400 which wasn't too bad. What colour did you get Dizzydixies?

Oh Dizzydixies ... did you buy the footmuff? If so, does the front of it unzip and come off completely? Our guy says it doesn't but your website says it does? If so, it'll solve my cushioning underneath the babies problem!!

does anybody need the car seat adapters for the duowalker, i think i have a set. i bought a set of car seat adapters off e-bay, she said they were for the mountain buggy but they were not. she insisted they were mountain buggy but mountain buggy confirmed they were nothing to do with them and they are too big for the frame. they are just sitting here as i didnt know which buggy they were for so i couldnt pass them on to anyone and the e-bay seller was just plain unhelpful. i didnt ask for a refund as i had to start a item not recieved dispute just to get her to send them after 3 weeks so it was too much hassle for £5. anyway when looking on the babyjingles website they look like the duowalker ones. if anybody needs some i will happily send them on.

i have been tempted with the ability of the duowalker to take car seats as that is the only problem i have with the double mountain buggy but i think the seller on e-bay says that the seats are from 6m, so you have to use the carrycots or the car seats from 0-6m. i like the idea that i can use the twin carrycot or the seats with the MB from birth.

Mel ... the Duowalker only takes one carseat as far as I know. Not sure what MB takes. MB say their standard seats can be used from birth but duowalker say from 6 mths though we're using them from birth ... straps are way too big but babies are pretty much flat and we just put a blanket underneath the little ones to make what they're lying on a bit cosier.

millie, i thought the photos of the duowalker had fairly flat seats when reclined. it must be because of the straps they say from 6m. you could use phil and teds cocoons in them.

The MB single takes a car seat but not the double unfortunately. Neither does the nipper. Do you think phil n teds coccoon would work in the duowalker, millie, as a friend will loan me hers? I did worry when I saw from six months for the seat but it doesn't say what the recline actually is? I'm going to try and find a local supplier to have a look at it as it weighs less than the MB.

I'm not sure Accessorizequeen but I have the Duowalker and I have a P&T cocoon so I will try it out and let you know! It's such a pity that the double E/walker only takes one carseat and not two ... it would be a huge improvement if they could manage to fit two carseats on it!! Will let you know re the cocoon.

millie if you want these car seat adapters you are welcome to them for free. they are no use to me and i would rather they went to someone who had a buggy they fitted rather than them sitting here.
