Has anyone given birth to twins with no epidural and just used gas and air? I want to do this as I can't have an epidural due to medical reasons

Hey, I gave birth to my identical twins without any pain relief, it wasn't easy and it was very long but I managed.
I'm always free for a chat If you have any questions x

Hi @emzie2410, I had identical twins beginning of December 2020, by the time I was re-examined I was 10 cm and my waters went mid examination... too late for anything more than gas and air and I managed to deliver both twin 1 head down and twin 2 breach (my first born had to be delivered forceps so had spinal) and yes it was painful although not as bad as I had expected it to and I very much got to that I can't do this I can't do this while delivering twin 1, shit myself after 1 was delivered thinking god I gotta do that again and bum first 😫.. I never wanted epidural because of my first deliver I wanted to feel the giving birth process which when I found out i was having twins was devastated cause I thought I'm going to have to have a section and not do it myself again.
Without blowing my own trumpet. I am so damn proud of myself for delivering both with just gas and air and an amazing midwife! I hope you get the delivery you want! x
