11 weeks pregnant with twins- huge bump already!

I'm currently 11 weeks pregnant with twins, our dating scan is next week. I found out I was having twins at a private scan we paid to have at week 8.

The past week my stomach has got HUGE and I mean I look about at least 20weeks if I had a singleton I reckon. I've actually lost 6lb since I discovered I was pregnant too so I'm lighter than my pre pregnancy weight.

I am a bigger girl anyway but I wasn't prepared to have a bump this big this early even with twins.

Anyone else pregnant with twins popped this early?

I'm hoping it's a good thing that they are both in the growing away!

You might want to look into a support band if you’re showing this early

Just to give you some support

I’ve known two women who have had twins, and one bless her, right at the end looked like she had swallowed a beach ball. She was huge

I was in maternity clothes by 8 weeks with my twins. I‘m tall and was really thin in those days - a size 8 so I couldn’t hide my bump at all.
Sadly no longer so slim but my twins are 10 now so that was years ago!

I looked the same from about 7 weeks to 25 weeks. I seemed to be hugely bloated, as my bloating reduced my actual bump increased so outwardly I looked the same!

@Soubriquet thank you, I'll look into one cause I know I'm going to be huge at the end!

@mammmamia I've ordered some maternity stuff cause I think I'll be much more comfy in those from now on. I'm kinda glad I've not had to go into work so I can wear comfy stretchy yoga pants or pyjamas all day Grin

@KellyHall I do feel a bit bloated. It's probably contributing to the hugeness lol

I'm with you @emmavictoria89 I'm 12 weeks on Thursday (18th) and It's quite clear something is going on although it's likely mostly bloat but I try to breath it in and it will budge the smallest bit but the rest stays! I'm really glad I don't live near family cause I don't want to tell them for another few weeks yet just until I'm happy that they are doing ok in there! Im slightly terrified of the whole twin thing, I have a 15 month old boy already and he's a handful at times but was the best baby I just know these two are going to be a nightmare or maybe just normal compared to my first! Lol
Hope your doing ok! x

@emma911030 they will be my first so I'm super nervous and super excited at the same time! I don't feel I've got any bigger in the last week or so but I'm already in some maternity wear!
I'm doing okay thank you just the all day morning sickness is sticking around, I think it's here to stay for a while.

Gosh a 15 month too? I bet he will so excited for when they get here!

I've been following some twin mums on Instagram which has helped me a lot with nerves, it's nice to know you're not alone cause I know I do get quite overwhelmed sometimes!

Im 9 weeks with twins and there is definitely a bump there already! I’m thankful for lockdown as otherwise my friends and family would have noticed by now 🙈

So I'm 12+4 (twins) and this is what I look like come the evening! Now I know this is bloat as well but this just seems a bit excessive.. I'm probably about 1/2 this in a morning. Can't wait to have my scan next Friday! See the little beans!

@emma911030 mines pretty much the same size! I'm a little bit bigger now but I do bloat a lot.
Good luck at the scan hun. It was so lovely seeing them bouncing around for the first time, you'll really enjoy it Smile

@emmavictoria89 oh that's good to know. I've been worried about putting too much weight on, I never lost it all after my first and now I'm thinking I'm literally going to be fat forever now after this 😔.
I am literally so excited. I've not seen them since 10+6 and that was the shock day I found out about the extra one lol. It's so nerve wracking as although I've not had any signs of miscarriage or anything I'm worried something has happened to one/both of them. I've faught the urge to pay for private scan as I need to just deal with being impatient lol. Hope your keeping well! x

@emma911030 I know how you feel, I've had so much anxiety throughout this pregnancy, I'm totally on edge! Hopefully as the weeks go on though that will settle down.

Good luck at the scan lovely. I'm sure they are both fine bouncing around all unaware in there having a great time!
