Hi, congratulations firstly! And it's so normal to be so worried. I made myself sick with worry the whole way through. My twins are now 2. I had a bit of bleeding at 7 weeks, that's how we came to find out there was 2 & they were born at 30 weeks. They are absolutely fine. Please try to calm down and relax (although as I said I was exactly the same as you!) Yes twin pregnancies are labelled as high risk so the chances are greater. But what can you do other than follow the advice out there such as not eating certain foods/smoking etc? As long as you're doing this, the rest is not in your hands unfortunately! Good luck with everything Flowers

Try not to worry. There's not a lot you can do at the moment, just wait it out. So many twin pregnancies turn out absolutely fine, mine included. I didn't find out quite as early as you though.

If you have worries, could you maybe book a private scan for a couple of weeks time for some reassurance before the 12 week one?

@Jaskane you too! 7+3 according to the scan, about a week further along that I thought.

My eldest son was only 2 when we found out we were having twins, he's now 12 and they are 10. Being pregnant was the easy part. I'm forever playing 'referee' between them all because they think they have better 'street cred' than each other. We are inundated with homework. Lost count of how many washing machines I've gone through. I can never get their names right and am constantly walking on a carpet of bloody lego. That said I wouldn't change any of it. Relax and enjoy your pregnancy, your midwife/consultant will look after you. Congratulations, you have some lovely times ahead.

Hi

I’m currently 29 weeks with twins but had my daughter at 30 weeks 2 years ago. I have GDM and my cervix has shortened from 32mm, 26mm and now 17mm. I am really unsure what I can do to not have this babies early any advice?

Am I likely to have another preterm labour with these risks and one of the twins is in my pelvis already?

Thanks

Congratulations. My advice is to just try listen to your body.
The things I wish I had known or realised before so had twins.
If you need more sleep have sleep. Other people will understand.
Walking is good for you even if you look like a waddling duck.
Eat what you need to feel well.
Wear that big badge on public transport and don't be afraid to ask someone to give up their seat.
Don't be afraid to get GP to sign you off work early. I ended up having my twins at 33+1 because I was sooo stressed 😥
