I really don't know wot to expect of this pregnancy and how I will cope with a 1yr old and twins. Any advice will be much appreciated lol

welcome ! I have only 3 - but my twins are 18 months younger than DS1 - so I can relate a little bit.

There are quite a lot of twin mums on here - so when you stop realing with the shock come here and start asking lots of questions.

One question from me to start with - id or not ? It makes a difference to the pregnancy.

welcome Kat and congratulations! I only have my DTDs, that's as much as I can cope with, so good luck to you - at least you will have a couple of willing older sisters to help out?

Hi Throckenholt at my scan she said she thinks there not id due to the lining between is fairly thick, which she said was the safest type of twin pregnancy fingers crossed lol and fuddle the older girls can be helpful but only when they want to! I do feel still in shock not to sure when i shall quite get use to the idea either lol especially after repeatedly have DD2 saying since i found i was expectin oooooo mum u cud be havin twins! up until the morning of my scan

Hiya mini
when i went for my scan thought i was 11 +2 but they put me as 10+5 as its within a week of my due date they said they keep u as the same due date, which i think tis a bit odd, as now still classed as 12+1 wot date are your double delights due?

come on over to the main thread - its the one currently entitled something about being asked how many times that they are twins - there are load of us twin mummies on there (and a few triplet mummies, bows down in awe....)

We are all very friendly - we do cake and everything......

Yeh see i was told the same to keep my same due date of 2nd february! so that makes me 14 wks on friday then woohoo!!
My ds1 was 2 wks early,ds2 was 3 wks early and dd was 2 wks early and they of course were all singletons so can only imagine when the twins will make an appearance

Hi and congratulations to both of you. I'm mum to four, aged 7, 5 and dts aged 2.4, so I had four aged under 5 at one time. you will manage fine.
they do keep the same due date for some reason, I know I was on the april antenatel thread, even though there wasn't really a hope on earth of me making it that far!

DD1 a couple of days early DD2 was 10 days late and DS1 was a day early, 1 thing I said to DH is that i shudn't be late but I suppose u just never know, I can't imagine carry 2 babys that long lol I was so big and uncomfortable with DS and at 12wks finding it hard to fit into clothes now!
Thanx HarrogatemumI will check that thread out and I never say no to cake lol
