Worse ovulation pains when releasing two eggs?

Hi all.

I went to a reflexologist the other day as I am TTC (cycle 4). She said that both ovaries felt very active so she wondered if I was perhaps going to release two eggs this month.

Ovary area feeling really tender today and am very uncomfortable. Got my peak Saturday morning on clear blue sticks so am assuming ovulation was around yesterday and don't normally feel anything around ovulation.

I know am jumping the gun a bit as not even pregnant (!) but just wondered if there was a link between ovulation pain and how many eggs are released. My Mum is a fraternal twin so aware that I have a higher chance than typical of conceiving twins. Of course I may not be releasing two but just seems strange to be so uncomfortable when I am not normally.

Thank you!

I gave no idea but I assumed it was a cyst making mine painful as some months I’m fine. Yesterday I was in agony and had to take pain killer so it’s variable with me. I’m nearly 50 so definitely NOT ttc.

Thanks for replying. Interesting to know that others have variable months in terms of pain around this time.

I ovulate on both sides most months, it's very obvious and painful for a few hours while it lasts. I have fraternal twins.
