(7 Posts)Just that really Sorry this is just to whinge
I have 2 month old twins, plus a three yr old. DH is at work all day and no family near by , so I spend all day trying to survive. T1 has colic and seems to scream morning till night. Threenager is demand demand demand all the time. T2 is a lovely, gentle soul who is always waiting for attention whilst I deal with the rowdy ones, so I constantly feel guilty about that.
Somebody tell me it all gets easier soon
Very similar situation here.
Twin boys turned 1 recently. Eldest just turned 4.
It’s SLIGHTLY easier now. The twins are on solids, and sleep well. The eldest is a bit more independent.
It’s still shockingly exhausting though, even if the nights are better. The twins are mobile. With no common sense. I spend all day just hovering between them, awaiting the next narrowly-avoided accident. While hoping the 4 year old isn’t mocking food or scribbling on the walls or whatever.
People say “don’t wish their lives away!” whenever I talk about how difficult the last year has been. F**k those people. I can’t wait until they’re all around 10 or so. These early years, with 3 tiny kids, suck.
I promise you it does get easier. My twins were born when my son was 2 and a half - both girls had colic. They are now 8 and their brother is 10. Just try and take each day as it comes. Do you have any friends that can help? I used to go to a regular toddler group from when my son was a baby and the friends that I made there were a life saver when I'd had the twins
(We’ve also got no support from family available, so no respite or time off!)
Thanks so much for the comments! They're both wailing their heads off now, I'm trying not to do the same!
Forgot to mention that we're also about to move house (talk about bad timing...), so once that is over I might be slightly less stressed
Mine are now 3, 4 and 5. Its a piece of cake now!
Wow, a piece of cake sounds nice
