I'm 30.5 with di/di twins.
I'm only just on maternity leave but wondering how soon I would be able to return to work once babies are born?
I am self employed.

What are your childcare plans? Are you planning to try breastfeeding? How reliant is your job on being well rested? Smile

How long. Is a piece of string?
Totally depends on
What your work it
What childcare/family help you have
What sort of babies you get - nice calm ones or ones with reflux or other issues
Whether you devlope PND
Whether the minute you meet your babies you don't want to leave thier side for a moment!

As the other two have said, more information would be handy.

Legally 2 weeks break is required post-part in (4 weeks if you work in a factory).

As others have said though what are your childcare plans, what is your role could you work when a DP was at home or when the children are napping?

If you're self employed you'll be entitled to 10 KIT days to manage your business without jeopardising any of your maternity allowance. You must notify the job centre of these days, otherwise up to you

I have a domestic cleaning business, childcare is sorted already, mainly family including dh.

Some clients will not wait for my return but others want me to continue, but I have no idea when to say I will be returning.

I understand the babies will play a huge part in my decision to go back, I was lucky enough to be at home for 3 years with my other children.
