Hi All

I have just had my 22 week scan and it looks as though we're heading downing the route of twin to twin. 1 baby has a lot more fluid that the other. And the one with less has barely grown since 20 weeks.

We're waiting on a call from Kings for an appointment, but I'm terrified. It's been a long road of fertility treatment to get here and I was just beginning to let myself get excited.

Hi, Didn't want to leave your most go unanswered. I had MCDA twins earlier this year. They had suspected TTTS at 16 weeks - fluid discordance like yours and also size discrepancy (little twin 33% smaller than big twin). Bigger twin also had a huge NT measurement which can be a sign of TTTS. Anyway like you I was terrified and my doc seemed sure I would need the laser surgery. However around 20 weeks the symptoms stabilised, and it turned out I had SIUGR instead.

My twins had to be delivered early at 29 weeks because my growth restricted twin got into trouble. It's been a long road in NICU but my twins are absolutely fine!!!

I just wanted to tell you my story to show you that suspected ttts does always develop into actual ttts. Also, during my pregnancy I met lots of women who did have ttts and laser surgery, and their babies are absolutely fine now! Amazing progress in the field of ttts is made every day.

My advice: Don't loose hope, stay away from google and be kind to yourself.

Best of luck.

Hi Sammy

I had severe TTTS, picked up on a routine scan at 19 weeks at Kings. Prof Nikolaides did the surgery there and then.

They are thrriving 5 year olds now.

How are you?
