Hi everyone, so I'm 10+6 weeks pregnant with my second. This time round I've been sicker than the first, fine, all pregnancies are different, I'm showing a lot, I look 4 months pregnant! That's fine as I'm told it's normal with your second! The weird thing is that I feel so much more pregnant than I actually am, you know that feeling when baby is bigger and the position of them feels funny under your ribs and you can feel that ripple of first movement? Well I swear that's what it feels like for me sometimes, has anyone else felt like this? Just curious really!!
I should add that I am a twin, to a boy (yes I know about the skipping a generation thing, but it doesn't always) and when my mum was pregnant with us, before she found out she had twins she said she just knew as could feel 2!

I had no feelings it was twins, I was stunned when they told me at 13 weeks.

I guess an early indicator was a bfp at 9dpo and being able to feel my fundal height from around 6 weeks.

Your chances are higher if you are a fraternal twin. Good luck!

No clue here. No family history, no sickness at all. I feel lot more pregnant second time round and it's def only one this time, so might just be that you are more tuned in to the feelings. At least it's not long till you find out and sounds like it won't be a complete shock if it is twins!

I had absolutely no idea. I was gobsmacked at my dating scan. I actually had a better pregnancy with my twins absolutely no inkling whatsoever.

I made a throw a way comment to do that it would be twins or a miscarriage when we went for a reassurance scan at 7 weeks (previous m/c) and lo and behold there they both were:)

I wasn't sick at all though and didn't show until about 16 weeks.

No, I had no idea at all until the 20 week scan.

My twins were my 3rd pregnancy. I thought I had a terrible illness and then found out I was expecting. I felt tired and so sick, I kept telling everyone I thought it was twins. I even planned how I would break the news to people the day before my scan.

I wasn't surprised at all to confirm I was having twins! I laughed and told my husband I was right!

Like bebemad I was convinced that they were going to tell me bad news. I had no pregnancy symptoms at all.

I was also quite a bit bigger, much faster the 2nd time round even though it was just the 1.

My twin pregnancy was by far the easiest of the 2. Although I did become very tired in the later stages.

I had no idea until the 12 week scan. My pregnancy tests were very feint until about two weeks after my missed period and I had zero symptoms until about 8 weeks.

The skipping a generation thing with non-identical twins is an old wives tale. To get non-identical twins you need to release two eggs and have each of them fertilised; so you are either a person who releases more than one egg sometimes or you're not.

The only way to know is to scan Smile

No sickness, no nothing.
No difference bar the tiredness. But then again that's just pregnancy.
Best of luck. Let us know the outcome!

You can by twin insurance it's about £50 and gives a big payout - get it before the scan !!

In the days before scans I suspected twins when there were two sets of hiccups, too far apart for one baby to be doing somersaults. 4th pregnancy, and too busy to see the doctor early, but twins confirmed when I did go.

I suspected, but thought I was probably being silly. Was really tired, and had found ligament pain from about 6 weeks.

Scan was on Monday, twins it is!

I had no idea, but in hindsight and now during my second (just one baby this time!) pregnancy I think there probably were signs.

I was sick both times, but it was worse with DTs, sometimes debilitatingly so.
I got bigger at about the same rate in the first trimester both times, whereas I think most people getting bigger quicker in subsequent pregnancies.
I found it hard to hide the pregnancy until 12 weeks with DTs.
With DTs the weight I gained in the first trimester was in my lower stomach and looked quite 'pregnant' whereas this time it's just general flabby bloating.

Like others have said though, only a scan will tell for sure! Best of luck.
