Gave in and went to GP.

I have sprained the cartilage at the back of my knee.....my Gawd he hurt me when he twisted my leg every which way. Nothing prescribed and told it could take a month before it heals.

Omg squeeeeee! Just popped in fb and one of my best friends (all the way round the other side of the world) has some posts on her fb saying congratulations, early but blah blah. Appears she may have had her baby boy. Who was due beginning of Feb! Times like this I hate being so far away cos I can just imagine how scared she must be feeling.

Sending positive thoughts to your friend, Soks xx

Why are grandparents so bloody stubborn?! My Great Grandpa who is flying in for Xmas. Hasn't been feeling well, according to my brother he's lost loads of weight and complaining of sore bones but he's refusing to have the doctor visit him Hmm

Some good news; Halo doesn't have to be on home o2 24/7!! :) He needs it when he sleeps and the portable for "as and when". He still needs the nebulers for his asthma attacks though. But one step closer!!! :) :)

DH has his first therapy appointment in the morning because he watched a TV program a few days ago containing someone doing CPR and he's been having flashbacks and nightmares since, and he's so anxious he can't fall asleep, which is keeping me awake, and I really need sleep as we also have a hospital meeting.

How have you been today ladies? xx

Hi Rubes- thanks for the concern - I am healing, but slowly.
Mama - at least you have some good news
Shabbs- sounds very painful, love your explicating to the GP thoSmile
Chops - glad it's working out wellGrin
Soks -Make that appointment!
Trips - I hope the side effects your DH is experiencing is only temporary, he should persevere. And hope your dd has a good time
M is feeling better, but he has given the bug to DH, who is letting everyone know he is suffering the man flu! Because of this, he stayed home this evening, and the boys and I went out to a quiz night. Our team did quite well, we came 5th out of 14

Yay! Kids are back at school! I know I shouldn't rejoice but I've actually had to ban toys from the lounge until I've sorted them out as I'm fed up of them just tipping them everywhere this weekend and I'm having to tidy them so I don't break my neck tripping over them c

M announced this evening he is going to stay awake all night so he is "too f#ing tired for school" tomorrow, because he has not studied for a French test with his horrible language teacher! I refused to be drawn into the argument he was angling for, I just said I was home tomorrow and I had the car to take him when he missed the bus! J was being unusually quite and helpful, which was a surprise as I am usually having him have swearing nasty hissy fits lately Blush

Mum 'escaped' again Saturday night. Brother screamed, swore and shouted at me and threatened the owners of the home. Brother now not speaking to me. He is getting Mum into a secure unit. Mum crying to me asking me to stop him shouting. Mum not wanting to leave the nursing home. House still needs clearing. I am knackered. Leg is beyond painful.....and so this hell goes on and on and on and on and on.

Cant do all this anymore but I have to.

Bubby - did he go in ok in the end?

Shabs :( Hopefully your brother will calm down soon. I think you did do the right thing, giving it another shot at that home, but it does sound like she does need a more secure unit. I hope she is ok?

We signed the contract for a 4 bed house last night. Only renting, can't afford house prices around here. The kids are going to be thrilled though. It's just a few roads away too. I will finally get a decent sized kitchen too!

Went out for a lovely run this morning, swim training is going well, have lots to be thankful for atm!

Morning girls.

Mum is agitated and insisting she has to find my Dad. Her Alzheimers has taken a sudden turn 'for the worse' if that makes any sense.

Brother emailed me yesterday - no apologies to me for the words that were said that can never be taken back. He called our Mum by her first name as if she didnt 'belong' to us! He is moving her at weekend to a secure unit. A very fancy great big care home with acres of gardens.

It says on the internet that it is an 11 minute drive from where we live to where the care home is. 11 minutes on the motorway - fabulous if you have a car but the bus service that goes quite close to the home takes about 90 minutes there and 90 minutes back. BUT as brother said 'I realise it is going to be almost impossible for you to get there but I am thinking about Dorothy not you.'

I understand it - Im not thick. I agree with him that she has to be moved.

I give up. Totally give up.

ok, if it is 11 minutes from the place by car, perhaps your brother should come and pick you up when he goes, it will only be a 20 min round trip for him?

Arsehole!
