lost my mucus plug and had bloody show are my twins going to be hear soon when will my waters brake?

Hya lost my plug and the last 2days av had a bloody show, am 36 weeks with my twins I have bin having period pains mainly of a night but nothing consistent, when did other woman's waters go how long do you think I have left o and me feet have swelled up like you wouldn't believe all your ansews would really help thanks x

The show means you could go into labour anytime between now and a week's time - sometimes even more. The pains you've been having are probably Braxton Hicks contractions and don't necessarily mean labour will start soon but they may turn into more regular intense contractions.

Waters can go at any time before or during labour - usually during labour. Basically if you are uncomfortable or worried about anything do call your midwife for advice but you can go on "niggling" like this for a while without anything obvious happening - your body is doing loads of work to get ready for labour but you don't necessarily realise it!

Thanks iv had braxton hicks for weeks now and was dilated 1cm over 3 weeks ago, spoke to my midwife she said wait till your waters brake then come in, I seem to have droped loads and can berly walk was hopeing my babys were ready we will see ay thanks all coments help x

I was induced so no advice whatsoever sorry! but how exciting youre babies are nearly here congratulations feels teary eyed remembering being heavily preggers whilst forgetting the heartburn, the backache....
Can't wait to hear about them and how you are! Join the postnatal thread when the timers gone off on you're buns in the oven!

Thanks minesapintofwine, I just don't seem to be getting anyother signs and to be onist am just in so much pain I really want them out soo fed up x

Hope you're OK love. Try a nice, hot bath and do lots of really deep breathing.

Awww hope your babies get a move on I was so fed up in my last few weeks not nice all worth it tho in the end even now 11 weeks later I'm up doing night feeds an still can't stop smiling at them lol

Thanks girls still no signs really heavy cramps today and can feel the girls pushing down a lot more but nothing I could imagine to be contractions, will try deep breathing having tried that fingers crossed they come soon soo fed up x
