hello,
going on a ferry pembroke to rosslare shortly, around 4 hours journey, too short for a cabin boarding 02.45 so arriving in ireland around 7am,thinking of taking a travel cot up to lounge area and putting triplets in it possibly 2 cots as fighting can occur, have contacted the ferry to see if they can help in any way,and irish ferries were very helpful, they are arranging for us to park near the lift, but u can imagine travelling with 15 months old triplets will be very testing!we have a 5 hour drive when we get off the ferry and we will have done around 6 hours to get to the ferry, will be stopping along the way, only way to get all equipment needed and kids over to ireland, going in our 7 seater mpv, staying where no children so no equipment there already, taking 3 travel chairs,3 travel cots, plus bottles as my babies still have 4 bottles of milk a day,i was wondering how to travel light regarding clothes, any ideas?baby gros come to mind as can even take them out in them under all in ones, any good advice welcomed(not don`t go,no choice, first time relatives see babies,)
going next thursday!!!!!!!

OH MY GOD Sarah - you are brave! We're off to spain in a couple of weks with 1 ds (18 months) and I've been worried about this, but I won't worry anymore. I have no advice I'm afraid, but I'm sure you'll cope. I'm sure your 3 will be a great crowd puller and will get loads of attention from other passengers.

Sorry no advice, but just wanted to say I hope you all have a lovely time!

Hi Sarah,
We have taken our three away two or three times a year since they were born, now they are almost six I realize its actually getting easier! I remember when they were the age of yours we had the mpv, top box and trailer! We used to take everything, and looking back we made it hard work for ourselves. Really take the minimum, look at what you have put out and ask yourself are you really going to use that? Take enough nappies for the first few days, dont take huge packs, remember you can buy as you go. I cant remember what combination you have, we have two boys and a girl, but at that age I stuck to unisex clothing, no skirts and dresses. Also in the winter a sleeping bag each is a better option than taking lots of sheets and blankets. Where we used to cut down was in our own personal packing, I used to exist on two pairs of jeans and 3/4 sweatshirts! We have just booked a flydrive to Florida next Oct, and the thought of just only being able to take 2/3 cases is bliss, self catering, and we have done it many times, is hard work! Good luck, and don`t forget to ask for help from ferry staff etc!
