hello mums to be/of twins

i am 27+4 with MCDA twins and all sorts of weird schizzle is starting to happen to me.

main thing which is worrying me, is that my lady area is constantly swollen, dark coloured and looks like - well, horrid. being a spin instructor 6 times a week means an uncomfortable ride as well.

then i have heartburn. standard i guess.

add to this strange sensations in my left arm and hand, though no swelling.

then i have lots of strange little bits of itchy skin on my chest... some of them look like they have little black dots on them???!!! i could scratch them off.

dreaming about having the twins and something wrong with one of them (last night, twin 2 was born with lips on her forehead) - no sleep or constant cap napping.

and finally, kicks in the lady area. it actually feels like being fish hooked from the outside in, to the point where one kick hurt so much down there, i checked to see that there was not anything hanging out that shouldnt have been.

rant over, but assurance and confirmation i am not a moron would be welcomed!!!

Blush

I have most of these - 27w with MC/DA girls. Lady area feels swollen (but was a bit with dd1) I can't actually see my lady area to see if it's darker - am shocked you can Grin

Strange dreams is normal in pg - I kept dreaming that I stepped over dd1 and tripped so squashed her head (truly horrible dream I kept having).

Kick in lady area are new to me too - dd1 did not kick me there and it feels odd, but glad they're kicking.

Good luck with your twins - I can't wait to meet mine but then have no idea how I will cope - I'm so used to sleep now dd is 3 and wakes after 7am!

i was pretty lucky with my twin pregnancy - apart from the obvous like heartburn - ouch. I read the Gina Ford twin book which Alice Beer co-wrote with her. - she mentions developingCarpel Tunnel Syndrome during pregnancy so could be worth getting your hand checked out. Good luck

I've tried to forget how horrendous my pregnancy was (twins are now 7.5 months), although I suffered until nearly the end with horrendous heartburn (gaviscon did nothing Sad) and my consultant prescibed me omnioprazole (sp?) 2 weeks efore they were born, anyway don't suffer in silence!

& Congratulations Smile

I had carpel tunnel but managed to avoid it being serious enough so I didn't need splints.

Heartburn - OH YES! Gaviscon was my best friend

Strange dream that I ended up giving birth to a toy soldier Shock

With my singleton pregnancy i had the kicks in the 'lady area' So painful!

All these things miraculously disappear after delivery!

just baffling that no one really tells you about the possibility of these things!!

its the varicosities that are worse for me, just plain vile.

also now had to give up teaching my 6 classes a week at the gym as it is such an uncomfortable ride now they are both head down.

swimming it is!!!

I also had mild carpal tunnel, luckily I gave birth at 34 weeks so it didn't get too bad (babies were fine)

I also puked every day until the end Sad

Had to see a physio regularly Sad

& I was moody and exhausted that hasn't changed much Smile

It's good that you are active though, I tried to be and am back to my pre pregnancy weight, slathered myself in bio oil and only have 2 tiny stretch marks on my stomach, but I forgot to oil my thighs and have a few on my hips and inner thighs. So oil up Wink
