i am 25+1 with id twins and impatient and wanting to know what they look like! i know they will avoid showing us more than we want to see, as we dont want to know the sex, but its £190 and i am just wondering, is it really worth it? anyone else had one done and what are the +/-???

Hello, I had one done but didntt pay for it. I was kept waiting or a scan appt for about 6 hours and when I finally got seen she flipped the switch and it went to 4d - I think to placate me!! To be honest, I don't think I would have paid for it - they looked a little bit freaky and, like you, we don't know the sex so they moved pretty quickly over that area.

I had severe TTTS and laser surgery a couple of weeks ago, and during the surgery I saw one of them on the tv screen - looked like a proper baby and would have been amazing if it hadn't of been such a scary time

Can't believe it's £190. Where are you? At my local hospital in Somerset it's £60 for 4d scans. We haven't had one as I have normal scans every fortnight anyway and dh finds them a bit freaky. But if you want one, shop around!

silverangel - love a nice freebie and agree they are a bit freaky, especially with two squished in there... but kind of feel intrigued and therefore will have to just accept they will look ugly!!! lol!!

princess, i am in solihull, the only place nearby that does them is a MUMS clinic which is private and apparently the price has come down from £280 last year!!! however i now feel robbed! i am planning a mini trip to somerset at the end of the month, wonder if i could swing by your hosp and get one done for £60??!!

I had one for my non-id twins and found it fascinating :-) think it was £150 or something: private company in Cambridge area ...

The £60 ones are at Yeovil Hospital, I think Musgrove in Taunton is around £90. Yeovil also does evening appointments so it allows dads to go along who can't make daytime appointments. Might be worth calling them.

Sorry, it's £65 not £60. This is what the website pdf says but you can call and ask more questions.

Baby Bonding scans cost £65 for a 20 minute scan. If it is possible to obtain a 4D photo during this time, we will certainly try. You will not be charged anything extra if we can get you some 4D photos.
How To Book An Appointment

ended up doing some googling and found a place called babybond with a clinic in edgbaston who will do a special package with b/w pics, colour pics, dvd and all that for £179... tomorrow!! eeek! apparently the cut off for really decent pics of id twins is around week 22 so i am glad we made the decision now at week 25+5 to get one done Wink

shame we dont live down south!!
