How many weeks when your ID twins were born?

I know everyone is different so I'm kind of conducting a non-scientific survey. I'm 21w pg with ID twin girls and it has started to seem a bit more real. dd1 (3) was born at 39+5w, but I have been told these babies will be born between 37-38w by cs (unless they come earlier).

At the moment they are almost the same size and weight about 10oz each. Also, appart from 16w of projectile vomitting and a couple of bleeds due to my cervix being a bit sensitive (not opening - just dosen't seem to like sex), I am having a fairly good pg (terrified of saying that as I might be cursing it!).

I'm really wondering how early other ID twins arrived and if they came early, were there any signs they would be early?

35 weeks - 5lbs 1 each.
Emergency (although sort of planned) c section. My blood pressure went high and my liver function wasn't right.

34+3 my waters broke in the night, I had a c section planned for 36 weeks ( MBF at Queen Charlotte reccomends 36 weeks for id twins, but I know other hospitals have different policies) I had a few twinges the night before but I assumed it was kicks confused

They were 4lb 9 & 5lb 7 we came home after 5 nights in hospital. Good luck but definitely have your bag packd by 30 weeks!

I was told that id twins have a 40% chance of early labour.

36 weeks exactly, but DS (a singleton) came at 37 weeks. They weighed 4lb2 and 4lb3 but again DS was only 5lb3. I was also only 4lb11 at 37 weeks so I think I have runty dainty genes!

37+5 (induction for a regular delivery) - seemed to be the policy in Devon.

All the best to you and the 2 little ladies!

They were very quiet the week before i and i just knew something was afoot. It was my first pregnancy so i had no idea why really. I was having teeny contractions and went in to be monitored, waters broke while they were trying to trace hb, one twin went transverse and his arm poked out. i was whisked in for a section.

both in scbu for blardy ages but you honestly would never know it now. They are absolutely perfect smile

First set were 33 weeks and 2 days and 4lb4 and 3lb15 3 weeks in scbu the 2nd lot which I think are ID were 36 weeks and 5 days and were 6lb3 and 6lb9 with only the biggest needing scbu for a few days as he was pretty poorly at delivery.

My MCDA twins were born at 35 weeks exactly - and they weren't hanging about: I had a 2 hour labour. They were 5lb4 and 4lb4, and we had to stay in transitional care for a couple of weeks as I peskily insisted on bf them, and they took a while to get the hang of latching on.
I had been uncomfortable for a while, then about 2 days before they came I felt my body wanted out - I was huge and just couldn't get any bigger. Had the hung on I would have been induced at 36-37 weeks anyway.
They are now healthy 10 pounders at 16 weeks, and utterly gorgeous.

And by the way, Princess Scrumpy, you don't have to have a section if you don't want, as long as Twin 1 is head down. I also managed to get away without fetal scalp monitoring, artificial rupture of membranes, epidural etc, as they came so quickly, which is what I wanted.

I know I don't have to have a cs but dd1's birth was traumatic and took me 10months to recover. I would have adopted rather than have a natural birth again.

I was induced at 37 weeks for a natural delivery, id boys born weighing 4lb 15 and 6lb 4oz. Induction took a day and a half. The smaller baby would usually have been in special care as under 5lb but they put them together in a heated cot (very cute!) and we spent 3 days on the normal ward.
They are now 10 months and huge bouncing babies!
