Help I need a hand with DD's hair for an event

It's for a dance comp

Currently she wears it like this

If you look at hair on the website you can see hers is a bit plain

So can anyone give me a tutorial (on-line) to help me get something a little more fancy

looking at the rest of th epics it doesn;t look 'too plain' as everyone else just has a bun too

I think a parting might help though - look at te way she has a side parting with the 'big' side twisted away from her face.

or just a side parting with a couple of well-placed clips to match her dress - this looks stylish and eyecatching without being too 'done' and would keep ends under control.

I an thinking about make-up, not quite sure how much I can cope with

I guess more eyeshadow, alongside the existing eyeliner, lip stick instead of gloss & liner

Not sure if I can cope with blusher tbh

I have been looking for hair ornaments but not doing too well

I think just more eyeliner with a bigger flick would do it tbh

only takes a small amount on a pale skin to look hugely dramatic, so I think you need to turn it up a notch to make an equivalent impact, iyswim

re flowers, try Claire's etc and detach from band / reattach to slide as appropriate. Do not be afraid for it to be BIG.

More eyeliner, a scrap of eyeshadow (brown?) and a pink(ish) lipstick (not too peach, more coral?)

do you know, the blingier earrings really make a difference

I'd use the crystal necklace and slides from the first pic and replace the under-bun pin thing with something bigger and greener - feathers, flowers, anythign you can lay your hands on in the right colour

I have loads of spare fabric, I was thinking about making 'leaves' attached to a band with a kirby grip at the point to hold it in place?? 5 or 6 round the ponytail or is that a bit naff?

I waxed her legs today, I can't tell you how upsetting that was.....my baby!!!

But she has been nagging for months and she said the girls at high school said she looked like a monkey & in Junior school (about 3 yrs ago) he was bullied by a girl who said she looked like a monkeys - so I had to

I think this time they were all sat on the grass comparing & several were very hairy.....so it wasn't specific

But when it was bullying it was horrid & no-one believed me

Of course now it seems so long ago but 1 comment threw me back into the bullying episode

Of course that doesn't excuse me waxing an 11yo's legs

I think a ruffle on a clip under the bun would look better than a band round the ponytail - good ruffling here
