I'm pretty sure I read a thread (last year me thinks) in this topic about childrens books on dual heritage and have spent most of the morning searching.......can't find it ggrrrr! Also the books it mentioned (can't remember titles) but I do remember the authors were American. I'm black and my DH is white and our DD is beautiful (biased of course)but she is forever talking about having blonde and straight hair. I remember years back when my DS came home from school questioning his heritage because of the other children at school were taunting him and how I thought those days were all gone, as I had a difficult time growing up too regarding my complexion and hair. This time round I want to be armed, so any assistance would be appreciated.

Sorry no.....although that was a good thread. Kind of remember that this book was about either a little girl or boy whose parents were from different heritages i.e. like me and DH
