Mixed Race hair care

Hello

Wanted to see what other people's general hair care routine is for mixed race children (black-white mix)?

I know this is not a one size fit all routine since hair type is a big factor but just a rough general step by step. For example my own haircare regime is 1) Shampoo and 2) Condition and 3) apply oil overnight once a week.

And most importantly when did you start this hair care regime? I.e when is too early to start using products on a child/baby.

Thanks

What hair type would you say your child is and how old?

I'm pondering this at the moment. My son is 19months but has a huge head of hair. It keeps getting very tatty at the back but he cries when I try to tease them out. I use some cantu leave in conditioner and we only wash his hair every 5 days (mainly because he hates it and it's very stressful!)

I would say he is 3b on the hair chart.

Mines 8 months and his hair is still caucasian in texture, mostly straight, but starting to curl slightly at the back. I wash it almost every night (bedtime routine) with his bubble bath water. If his hair was more like his fathers I wouldn't wash it so regularly.

Wash 2-3 times per week. Apply moisture everyday, brush after. I’ve just started doing china bumps which I plan to do 2-3 times a week. My boy has very tight curly hair.

I’m going to try the curly girl routine which is just using conditioner. If your interested google it
