Following with interest as I think this is my book. I was hooked from the first page and just loved it. Hope you all do too!

This is my book. What a relief that you enjoyed it! I haven't read it so was a bit worried that it was going to be terrible. My original choice was The Diary of a Junior Doctor but then thought that it contains things that people may find upsetting, so this was a total last minute pick.

Will look forward to it coming back to me!

Book 8 in group 2 is @mygastisflabbered 's book, which is TNC. @justcheese, you're the other book 8! I seem to have made this more complicated than it needed to be.....

I was the first one to receive this, it was actually a re-read for me. The first time I read it, I found it very magical and romantic. Unfortunately it didn't stand up too well to a second reading - I think I started asking too many questions "but WHY, why did he/she do that, how did that happen, how does that work?" whereas actually it's a book that you just have lie back and be swept along by.

Oh what a shame it didn't live up to a second read. I must admit I only read it the once and didn't re-read before sending it on. In a way I'm glad I didn't though.

Thanks to holidays I am actually ahead of myself and have just finished this one (this has never happened before Smile )

I have to admit that my heart sunk when I read the blurb - I would never have chosen this myself and I thought it was going to be a whimsical fantasy/fairy tale type book. I wasn't a huge fan of the Time Traveler's Wife and wondered whether it would be too similar.

However, I thoroughly enjoyed it. I think it helped that I had time to just let it flow without thinking too much about the 'how' so it was a perfect holiday read. Not sure how much I can say on here without spoiling it for others but I really enjoyed the descriptions of the different 'rooms' and the characters.

Perhaps the ending was a little abrupt but it didn't spoil the book for me.

Thanks for a great choice @MyGastIsFlabbered

Blimey @fresheyre, you've got ahead of me! I'm now back from holiday and ready to post the book on. Let me know if better to post straight to the next reader? Although that might get complicated but do let me know what you think. Planning to post on Monday.

I also read this book on holiday. I enjoyed the first part of the book, the introduction to the characters and setting and the establishment of the deal and the circus. In the middle, I'm afraid I was unable to withhold my disbelief and got quite cross with the writer and felt they were able to write with too much disregard for reality. I wanted to book to hurry up and wrap up for a good 150 pages. Got there eventually and rather liked the ending again.

Kind of glad I read the book as it is not something I would've chosen but would probably not choose another by this author.

6/10 from me.

I really enjoyed this book. It is one that I have seen around and been meaning to read for a while but never properly got round to. I am very glad that I did!

I really liked the beginning and build up, and the way that it jumped around in time and place, before all the separate stories were brought together (even if I did get a little confused a couple of times). I found it very readable, and did find it quite 'magical' (don't really like saying that but can't think of a better way to express it). However, I can't say I found the ending very satisfying - I don't want to give away too many spoilers but I found it a bit too neat and twee.

I definitely agree with what others have said about it being a book to let carry you along and not think too much about the practicalities.

I really loved this book. I was a little disappointed with the ending but just let the magic of the book sweep me along. Definitely a 10/10 for me.
