Hi All,
Just wanted to let you know about the following... This is a perfect show-case for local self-published authors, and smaller publishers, and fun for readers to discover new books.

UK's first Pop-Up Bookshop opens May 4th!

Author Daisy White will be hosting the UK's first Pop-Up Bookshop at Horsham Market, West Sussex on May 4th. The Bookshop will then be open once a month, with a different theme throughout the Summer. May's theme is Vintage/Historic, to celebrate the launch of Daisy's third book, 'The Film Club', a thriller set in 1958, and centring on the story of Brighton party girl, Susie B. The Pop-Up Bookshop is a chance for smaller independent authors, illustrators and publishers to showcase their work, and for readers to be able to meet the authors, and check out their books first hand. In the age of the internet there is still nothing like picking up a paperback, being drawn in by the cover, and flicking through the chapters, especially if it happens to be in a rather special Bookshop? Continuing the Vintage theme, the make-up artist team behind 'The Film Club', will be on hand to give makeovers to interested spectators (free to anyone who buys a book!). Local photographers Stef Lilley and Clare Moore, will also be displaying amazing photographs from a recent shoot entitled 'Fifties Brighton Rocks!'
With the current trend for self-publishing, the Pop-Up Bookshop is a way for 'Indie' authors to reach out to readers, and have hard copies of their books for sale on the high street. This is also a great way for the general public to access fantastic 'Indie' books, at a discount, without relying on the internet. Most of all the Pop-Up Bookshop is about everyone who loves books!
Follow Daisy on Twitter (@Daisy White 1922 for discount vouchers, and a full list of authors who will be attending/showcasing their work. Or email; or call 07973 864612 for more details/to be involved, or for advice on setting up your own Pop-Up Bookshop.
