Probable mmc at 7wks

I am 7+2 according to my dates and 99% sure they are correct.

I had a private scan today. I've had some spotting and pain so booked it for answers I suppose. There was no heartbeat and gestational sac measured 6wks. No fetal pole or yolk sac but echoes (?) could be seen. I'm being rescanned in two weeks but I'm not holding out much hope tbh. I've just had 'feelings' that this pregnancy is not viable so I guess I'm just anticipating the worst. Not knowing one way or another is really hard. I swing from feeling really down to 'oh well' to maybe it's too early to see a heartbeat.

If it's a mmc what will happen? Will my body eventually get rid or will I need some procedure?

I have a ds who is 16mths and had a straight forward pregnancy. I naively thought this would be the same.

If it is a mmc, then for a pregnancy pre 8 weeks, you will probably be offered some medication which will start the mc. I had a mmc at 9 weeks (picked up on 12 week scan) and opted for a D&C but I'm not sure whether you'd be offered that option this early.

There's obviously a possibility that you could still be pg (I bled with both successful pregnancies)

Thankyou Tillyscoutsmum. Had a bit more bleeding this morning so feeling less positive. It's the limbo bit that's hard. If I'm going to mc, I wish it'd hurry up and happen.

I had a private scan at 7+5 and there was just an empty sac and nothing else.

I waited nearly 3 weeks and nothing happened (i hadn't had any cramps/bleeding at all) and so was booking in to have an ERPC the following week.

The next day the mc started which lasted about a week. The first couple of days were like a heavy period and third day was much heavier with some clots.

After that the bleeding lessened each day.

I am really sorry that you are going through this difficult situation and hope that it gets sorted for you soon.

I had an internal scan at the epau today and it showed a pregnancy ( so fetal pole and yolk sac ), again measuring 6wks and no heartbeat. They won't say it's a non viable pregnancy until it's a certain size??? I have to go back a week Thursday for another scan. The bleeding stops and starts and is still only very light.

I can't believe my dates are that out. First day of lmp was 18th Aug and bfp on the 13th Sept. So I guess it's just a case of waiting until the next scan and going from there.
