Hi just want to talk am feeling very low. I had a miscarriage in May at 9 weeks then conceived straight away without having a period in between, so not sure of dates but had postive pregnancy test 6 weeks ago and was due to go for ?12 week dating scan on 21st of this month. Had some fresh bleeding today phoned EPAU cant see me until Tuesday. Am gutted just want a scan so I know it's just like history is repeating itself again feeling really blue waiting is so hard. Have not felt confident about this pregnancy at all but thought it may be due to last time. Keep thinking it all my fault getting pregnant so soon after miscarriage. Just wandered if any one going through the same thing?

I've never had a miscarriage but I've had bleeding with both of my pregnancies, early and late. This time round I had my periods for the first 5 months and some light spotting most days at the start. The cause was never found.

I have a healthy toddler and I'm at week 30 this time round so bleeding doesn't have to mean you'll miscarry.

A lot of people have asked similar questions over the past few days and had lots of responses like mine.

poor you, i went through the awful waiting game a few weeks ago. hard to go private now even if you can afford it as clinics won't be open at the weekend and you'll struggle to get a same day appointment for Monday. Still, might be worth a try if you can find the money...i had four days of uncertainty over a weekend and rang a private clinic on a Monday morning because i couldn't bear it any longer.i was lucky enough to get an appointment that afternoon. (sadly it confirmed the miscarriage in my case.) good luck

I would like to back what AJM said: I also had 'periods' (though light) for the first 5 months. I've never been given any sort of explanation....

I have a healthy 3 Month old baby...

I can understand why you would want a scan though... Can you go private? they will be able to see you?

I had my scans at my local BMI hospital and they offered weekend and evening appts... just an idea.

Hope everything is OK.

Hi thanks for your words of encouragement Im going to EPAU tomorrow and am so scared bleeding has continued over the weekend not very heavy but brown in colour which I would like to say is better than fresh blood but its the same colour as in my previous MC so dont think it is a good sign.

Im just dreading the whole thing lying in the scan room waiting for them to say that theres no heart beat it was just awful and then waiting for the actual MC to begin its so horrible.

Will be back on after tomorrow to update, whern Im up to it. Thanks again.

Been there - and my outcome wasn't good. Fingers crossed for you and thinking of you. Its horrible isn't it? What really got to me was the whole powerlessness of it all and feeling out of control. Look after yourself petxx

Hi just wanted to thank you all for replying. I've got some good news had scan yesterday really thought it was going to be bad news but there was our tiny baby on the screen with a heart beat and waving its tiny arms around. So relieved am only 10 weeks but they said all looked fine so fingers crossed, long way to go. Im going to try and stay away from this miscarriage thread from now on as Im so worried about what the future has in store I don't think I can cope with reading any sad stories. Thanks to all who I've chatted to. Good luck to each and every one of you.

I'm so glad you had good news. It is amazing to see such a tiny baby moving about isn't it.

The best thing you can do now is relax and enjoy the rest of your pregnancy.
