I can only tell you of my experience, which I'm afraid wasn't good. At my routine 12 week scan I was told there was no heartbeat. I had had no bleeding at all - no spotting, nothing. This is termed a missed mc.

This does not mean the same thing will have happened to you and I did hesitate to post this as a reply as I don't want to panic you. On the flipside I didn't want your post to go unanswered.

I'm afraid I would be prepared for the worst - I've had two mc when they saw a heartbeat but the baby was smaller than it should have been and I had to go back for further scans. One time I bled and miscarried but the other time I had a missed mc and despite waiting a few weeks ended up having the medical management. Hope you are Ok tomorrow.

Thankyou, I did have the d&c yesterday, am feeling ok about everything, I hahd to wait most of te day as they needed to wait for the top surgeon in gynea because of my history so it was a long day, but I have had no bleeding today and feel really well - now to convince dp to get snipped
