Hi all

My friend has sadly lost her baby at 18 weeks and I would like to gift her something to remember him by.

I am looking to do some cross-stitch with his name written out but I'm struggling with words that will be meaningful and apt for her feelings.

For example for a Holly: (it's a terrible one)
Heaven
Opens for
Lovely
Little
You

His name is Leon but I can't think of any words to use. And if anyone knows what this is called please let me know so I can google some suggestions.

It's called an acrostic op. Hope that's useful.

It’s an acrostic.
It’s a lovely idea but could you not stitch out his name with some lovely baby items? A bit like a new baby card. I’m just wondering whether a poem might be a bit raw at the moment.

Lovely

It is a lovely thought - you sound very kind Flowers But I would think very carefully about this. I couldn’t have coped with receiving a gift like this after my loss, so do be sure it will be welcome.

Thanks all

She has said she wants me to make her something to remember him by. So it's an expected gift. Also she has a daughter who isn't aware of the pregnancy or the loss, and they are keeping it private for the moment so it's something that is memorable to the parents but doesn't mean anything to the daughter

Also open to other suggestions that link to Leon but without a poem element or using his name
