Hi,
I’ve never posted on anything like this but really need help/advice. Long story............
Beginning of April had Medical Management. About a week after was getting very strange shooting/ stabbing/ burning pains in pelvic area alongside nausea, incomplete and more frequent urination, constipation and trapped wind. Contacted GP thinking I had UTI, given ab’s. After a few days I realised these weren’t doing anything and dr confirmed inconclusive results for UTI infection. He referred me to EPU where I was scanned and retained products found. I was given more MM which made me cramp (I’ve been bleeding and spotting this whole time anyway). Roll on a few weeks, I’ve had a lot of precautionary ab’s waiting for RPOC to expel naturally. No joy. Last week I had another US to decide what to do. My body temp was very low (which consultant said akin to high fever) and I felt so unwell so I was admitted, given 3x AB’s via IV and the following morning had ERPC. I was hoping all these pains and symptoms would disappear after the procedure but unfortunately not (I’ve been to a and e a few times unable to cope with pain). I called hospital to say still having all these symptoms. They told me to give it a week and call if still having them.

Feel like I’m never going to feel normal again. I have children I need to look after and things to do but my life has been fully impacted by this (my husband is getting sick of me constantly crying and tells me to take the painkillers). I Googled my symptoms and Pelvic Inflammatory Disease came up. I’ve mentioned this to the nurses/ doctors but nothing really said about it. Last night ended up at a and e again with the pains (low temp again). Mentioned PID to doctor who said it’s a possibility, he sent me home with more ab’s which I’ve previously taken during this time but he said that’s fine -they didn’t help first time- and told to take painkillers and laxatives. From what I’ve read about PID (if it is that) two lots of ab’s are needed to be taken at the same time so I haven’t started these just in case it’s not right.

Really don’t know what to do now. I will of course call hospital if no joy by next week. Just really want to know what’s going on. It feels never-ending.

Thanks for reading. I’d be grateful for any help/ advice.
