Miscarriage/pregnancy loss

I want to be a mum more than anything

We want to be parents more than anything in this world. We have had 5 pregnancy losses now, no answers and no steps forward. We felt like we was getting somewhere before the virus but now it doesn't feel like we are moving forward at all.

Really struggling with the idea at 24 that I may never be a mum. In every other way possible we are so ready.

My partner is 27 and he wants to be a dad more than anything, I'm so worried I'll take that opportunity off him completely.

I don't know what I'm trying to get out of this post, I suppose to vent really

At 24 you still have a lot of time ahead of you. I know it won’t help me saying that. I had my little girl at 32 after many years of trying. Have you been referred to the recurrent miscarriage clinic? You may also qualify for ivf where they can know the precise date of conception and do so many bloods in advance and in the early weeks to help keep things on track. Do you have a good support structure?

Firstly you need to take this pressure.off yourself. You are still very young at 24. You don't say how long you've been trying but lots of women on these boards have tried for years before conceiving and carrying their child to term. Sorry I can't give you any certainties but remember that parents are more than biology so you do have other options to consider (obviously after much more medical investigation).

Sorry for your losses Flowers

Did you have any investigations why? One of my cousins had a lot of miscarriages and it turned out that she needed extra progesteron in the first trimester to make it stick. She then went on to have two good pregnancies. I think you should see a specialist about this to see what is wrong and what you need to stay pregnant. There are so many options medically speaking, so keep up the hope!

Hi I honestly feel for you. I had a miscarriage and it tore me apart. Have you been to the doctors to see if they could refer u if you've been having recurring miscarriages? Like the other post I've heard experiences of women on YouTube who just needed extra progesterone and they had healthy pregnancies. You're still young I had my daughter when I was 27 and she was my first.

Stay positive and support each other and have hope. It's very hard during this time but their are others going through the same. This too shall pass. Stay patient, have hope and get help from the doctors so they can find out what's happening.

Hi everyone,
Sorry I was very vague, I've actually been trying for three years after I was having pain in my left side. My periods was never regular and I had a hunch we would have problems. We have been together six years now.

We have had every test, I've been under 3 NHS hospitals and 1 private.

We are currently still under ST Mary's Tommy's program in London, they have all said I'm a little bit of a mystery. We are hoping we will soon qualify for IVF. I imagine by the time this pandemic is over we would.

We have thrown all our money at this too, I've been on a treatment program for over a year and not fallen. Thanks for your kind words everyone, we know we are young .. this is why it's concerning x
