Hi everyone,

I hope you are keeping safe and well!

This coming Thursday would have been my 20 week, half way point of my first ever pregnancy.

I am 23 years old, and I miscarried at 11 weeks. There is no known reason for my miscarriage, as so many women are told.

Although, this week I’m finding it really difficult to deal with, I can’t stop feeling upset, crying and wondering ‘what if?’. I’m sure these are all normal things, but I’d love to know if there’s any tips or advice for coping with baby loss, emotions or anything in between?

Thank you! x

Hi Abby, firstly so sorry to hear you are going through this. That's really good that you've accepted that everything you are feeling is normal because that's exactly right - everyone's journey through this horrible time is individual and unique.

As such, I can't offer any specific tips, but if you find talking to someone helps you then my recommendation would be the Miscarriage Association. I called them up when I was going through my MMC and they were lovely - they just listened to me and were very reassuring.

I would also have recommended the Tommy's line, but unfortunately with the current situation I don't believe they are open.

Take care of yourself xx
