Recurrent Miscarriages

Hi, it’s a long story but I wanted to ask your advice...this past year I have had 3 miscarriages, they always happen at 10 weeks. My husband and I already have a little girl who is 5 years old and have had lots of blood work and scans done and the only thing that comes up is borderline low ferretin levels.

Also, for the past 4 years I have had aching legs, then the past 6 months I’ve started to get aching arms and tight chest and my leg hair is not growing back in some areas. I went to a specialist who said I have Fibromyalgia, I can’t help feeling that this isn’t the case and I have some other problem that is also contributing to my miscarriages. I also had the last miscarriage looked at at the hospital and the results came back as no chromosome faults which just reinforces my feeling that it’s my body rejecting it!

Thank you for reading my post and thankful for you help/advice xx

Have you considered that the cause might be immune related? I have a similar history. Six losses over three years. And I tested positive for elevated NK cells. I also changed my lifestyle and later tested negative. But I was recently diagnosed with fibromyalgia and am awaiting results of further tests.

I think I have quite extensive immune issues which have occurred since my daughter (also 5!) was born. I’ve just posted actually as I’m struggling with how to move forward but your situation sounds so familiar that I couldn’t leave you wondering. I don’t think they’re necessarily wrong about the fibromyalgia, but private testing might reveal further immune issues.

Hi ALifeMoreCurious, thank you for messaging smile I’m so sorry for your losses, I hope you are okay. Have you looked into it further? I haven’t heard anyone with a similar story as ours, my pains started soon after my little girl was born to. I agree with you I think it’s immune problems.

I went private after my third miscarriage and that is when the dr immediately said in the first appointment that I had Fibromyalgia, he did bloods and an x ray which came back fine. Another specialist I have seen has advise to have low dose aspirin, progesterone and folic acid when I do get pregnant again but I’m so nervous as I feel there is an underlying problem.

I have recently gone gluten free in the hope it could be related but I feel worse than ever, I’m also looking into acupuncture. I feel all over the place! I am going to be 30 this year and the doctors say it’s just bad look but I can’t help feel that there’s something very wrong!

Thank you for replying it means a lot to me x
