Miscarriage/pregnancy loss

At 5 weeks could I miscarry in 3-4 hours then stop

Hi looking for some advice. I am 5 weeks pregnant and started having some bleeding on Sunday afternoon for a few hours. It leaked onto a pad but didn't fill one. It was heavier than 'spotting' and bright red on wiping. There were slight twinges in my back at this time. Then yesterday it died down and was definitely just spotting. I tested using digital and it said 1-2 weeks when it said 2-3 last Thursday. Today it started as brown ish cervical mucus then from late morning there was nothing at all and since then I've had nothing at all, either on pantyliner or when wiping. Tonight I had a really sore cramp for around 5 mins but still no bleeding. My boobs also feel tender today and this wasn't a symptom before the bleeding.

I had a miscarriage in November so I'm obviously super anxious. I am not sure if I overreacted to the bleeding on Sunday or if it could be chemical. Could it before
Over completely in just a few hours with such a small amount of blood? I called EPU they said test again in a week and call them if positive. I did an Asda test today which was still a strong positive.(I had a much weaker line on same test in last pregnancy before miscarriage)

Any thoughts welcomed please? I go between being hopeful and giving up! I read a post from a girl on another site going thru similar at 6 weeks, even down to digital test dropping in weeks indicator and she had a scan today which was fine!

Thanks I'm advance

Sorry you are going through this uncertainty. When I miscarried around 5 w I bled steadily go for around 4 days, plus had cervical cramping and abdominal cramping.

I don't think you can give up hope yet, but also think you are right to be cautious Flowers

I bled at 5 weeks, probably for about 2 or 3 hours. EPU wouldnt scan me until 5+5 and i didn't test again. Turned out to be twins and they put it down to implantation bleeding / one of those things. Good luck

I wouldn't have thought it could be all over in that short space of time, it sounds much more like implantation bleeding to me. I had previously miscarried at 6 and 12 weeks and about 5 weeks pregnant I had identical symptoms to you. My dd is now nearly 3.

I'd be more concerned if the symptoms got worse.

Sending you all my best, positive thoughts!

@KellyHall @SylvanianFrenemies @Africa2go thanks so much for replying.

Yesterday I had a tiny bit of pink cervical mucus, only on wiping a few times but it's stopped. I just don't know what to think. I've done another test this morning and it's still a strong positive. In hindsight I did the digital in the evening on Sunday so it might have been due to urine being really diluted (just been out for a meal and drank loads of juice!)

I'm probably clinging onto hope but I'm carrying on as if I'm pregnant until I know otherwise.

Thanks for taking the time to reply x
