Pregnancy after miscarriage no period

I had a miscarriage the start of november. I was 11 weeks and ive been heart broken. I have a daughter so took for granted a easy pregnancy so felt very naive and not prepared when we lost baby.

I havent had a period since and did a pregnancy test a few days ago and it read postive 2-3 weeks and the doctors will put this at 4-5 weeks. My worry now is going though the same at a dating scan if baby under 6 weeks no heart beat will come up. Hoping someone might have been through the same. Im thinking of holding out another couple weeks before telling the docotor. I really cant face the thought of seeing a monitor with no heart beat again.

Any advice or thoughts would be great

Hello, I had a miscarriage at 10 weeks on the 4th November, I am really sorry for your loss it truly is the most horrific thing to go through. Did you get a negative test after the miscarriage, could it be left over from that the test still being positive?

Sorry for your loss also, it really is the most horrific thing. I have so much thought and best wishes for anyone going through the same.

That is also a worry that it might be pregnancy hormones from last pregnancy. I stupidly havent done a test to see negative as i was offered a scan after i miscarriaged and they confirmed i passed baby 😢

I had a miscarriage on the 29/10/2019 and had no period. 🤷‍♀️ Have you had a negative since?

I had positive tests for three weeks after the medical management, even after I had a scan after two weeks to say that I had passed everything the test was still positive.
Four weeks post I have just started my period.
If it's a new pregnancy for you that's fantastic news, it can happen Iv read so hopefully ❤️

Im trying to stay postive and treating its a new pregnacy but think ill hold out another 2weeks before making doctors appointment. It all does seem very early. I will do another test next week. ❤️

Very sorry for your loss. Many, many years ago I had a miscarriage the morning of my 12 week midwife appointment and had to have a D&C. I had no period afterwards for two months and went to GP who suggested I did a pregnancy test. I was pregnant. My lovely daughter is now in her early 20’s.

The dates were off and we knew this as scam illustrates a date when my husband was away for a 2 week business trip. I ended up induced as baby was “late” (but we knew had to be wrong dates).

I can happen quite quickly after miscarriage.

Hi OP

Sorry for your loss. I had a MC at 6weeks on 1/8/19. I had -ve test two weeks after bleeding stopped and then a +ve test a few weeks after that which I took on the off chance as I was feeling a bit iffy. I had an early scan at 5wks to date it because of no period. There was no heart beat as expected so they rescanned after two weeks and saw a heartbeat. I now have a healthy little boy.

I would go and get a scan as they will confirm what’s going on and they should offer further early scans until they know the pregnancy is viable.

Hi ladies, So sorry for your losses. I also had a MMC at 16 weeks and had my medical management Nov 4th. I haven’t gotten my period yet but want to start trying after my 6 week apt next week. I did take a pregnancy test last week bc me and my SO have done the deed since but it did come out negative. I took a ovulation test today but not quite sure if i am ovulating or not. I hope everything works out for you and it is a new pregnancy! I know i can not wait until i get my BFP 😊

Sorry for your loss at 16 weeks 😢 wishing you luck for conceiving.

I really wish i had taken a pregnancy test but i couldnt face the negative coming up and thought because the second scan the nurse said all had happened. 🙄

I did wait two weeks after but we didnt use protection, i really hope i am but not getting my hopes up.

I m/c at 11 weeks 2 days but our scan showed baby stopped growing at 6weeks. We found out early so its been difficult emotionally feeling fooled that everything was ok.

Im hopeful and treating as pregnant with a excited feeling but also not dismissive of the loss and chances it could be old hormones 🤞

I had a Mmc at 12 weeks with surgical intervention
When my period hadn’t returned after 8 weeks I did a test and it came out positive- she’s almost 15 now!
I was basically pg for a whole year and to be honest I found it very mentally tough but in some ways it was good because I felt no pressure to conceive after my mc

Hi everyone I am going through miscarriage right now , it is very tough I didn't know that until now since I haven't had any miscarriage before , my sister had a few and she was going through tough time but I didn't really understand her feelings until now . I have 2 kids , I had them when I was very young , I love them to death but I don't think I was ready like now . I just feel I want to get pregnant so bad and have a baby . I just turned 37 and I didn't think of miscarriage until after it happened , I was so happy after I knew I was pregnant but now iam scared with the loss again or that might not happened because of my age which I don't know how iam going to deal with it . I just feel so sad and down right now and I don't want to do anything . It is very confusing and hard feeling to take

It sounds like everything you are saying most of us are feeling.

Its a scary feeling having things planned out for them to be stopped so unfairly lm totally sorry for your loss.

Its been a really difficult couple weeks with not much development.

The epac have been amazing. I am pregnant but they dont think the pregnancy is viable and could be eptopic, absolutely gutted.

My advice to any ladies reading this is make sure you get your negative test, it wouldn't have made a difference to my outcome but it would have helped with all the uncertainty of old pregnancy hormones.

Hi ladies, i had miscarriage too at 12 weeks. I stopped bleeding in 2 weeks and i found out on the internet that after miscarriage, you can be ovulating. So say 15days after miscarriage, we had unprotected sex. I just want to get pregnant again to make up the pain i went through. Still feeling devastated of my loss 😞. If this thread still exists in 2-3weeks time, i will send an update regarding my cycle. Haven't had my next cycle yet after miscarriage. I am hoping i will be pregnant soon... 🤞

Hi Girls,
I had a natural misscarriage one month ago and everything was fine internally. However I am still waiting for my period. I had strong ovulation pains just over a week ago and spotty skin (little like pms) but still no sign of my period. I have to admit we have been trying since the miscarriage so there could also be a possibility that I am pregnant. Girls could you advise when to take a pregnancy test ...... Thank you xx

@AJ140417 im so sorry your going through this.
The epac nurses monitored my hormones over a couple days and they were dropping so likely old pregnancy hormones or tissue left, at the time it was very hard and it took me alot of time to get over it all mentally but as im sat writing this now im just putting my baby boy to sleep (he really was worth the heartache). Sending you big hugs and i really hope you get some answers soon x

Hi @Mumma2016 Thank you! I want to share with you the good news. After few months, i got pregnant. He’s now 18 months old. Sometimes when i stare at him whilst sleeping, i’m so grateful I’ve been blessed with another one. Good luck to those who are trying to conceive. x

@MH202 Yes. I got pregnant after few months. I was really desperate to have another one as I was turning 40 and one of my friends who was also wanting to have a baby found out that she has only 3 eggs! I wonder how many my eggs were?!? By in the end, she got pregnant too. Are you planning to have a baby?

@AJ140417 I had 2 miscarriages, the last one was on 23 of April 2022 and it was 12 weeks pregnancy and I am not sure about the cause of it and I still didn't get my period and I am really too worried, yes I hope to get pregnant soon
