Has anyone TTC DTD before their first period after miscarriage?

I miscarried 3 weeks ago and haven't had a period yet.. was told to wait to TTC after AF but I have loads of egg white cervical mucus today and just so tempted to DTD and see what happens! Any stories or advice anyone can share please??

I'm sorry about your miscarriage. Flowers

I had an induced miscarriage at 12 weeks due to the baby having full Turners Syndrome - three weeks after that I fell pregnant again, no period in between. I really didn't think it would happen for us so quickly but I'm lucky enough to be currently 32+3 weeks pregnant with a healthy little girl.

When we discussed TTC again before the procedure to remove the previous pregnancy, the nurse told us to wait a cycle but the consultant said it was fine to try again ASAP. I personally would just do whatever you feel comfortable doing. Smile

Lots of luck to you. 🌹

It'll hear of loads of women on here who get their bfp before their period after a loss so people obviously do try straight away and it does work. Personally I was going to wait until my first period to properly try again, ovulation tests and all but that's purely as I feel I need a little break from my miscarriage but I say if you feel ready in yourself then I don't think there's any harm in it Smile

Yes I did. I had a early miscarriage (chemical pregnancy) and got pregnant before my period was supposed to be due

@PastaSauceHoarder Thank you, I'm so sorry for your loss too. There's a big hole in my heart as I'm sure there is in yours too, but the days get a little brighter at least.

So glad you are pregnant with your little one! Congratulations and good luck for his/her birth. Thank you for your advice x

@sarahc336 hi, I've heard of lots too which makes me think..... go for it! I'm just worried as the doctors have advised against it, but surely if so many have been successful, why shouldn't I?!

I'm so sorry for your loss Flowers and thinking of you, good luck for when you TTC x

I'm
In the same situation. Miscarried last week, I've done a pregnancy test and it's come up negative, all bleeding has stopped now and I've also done an ovulation test today and I'm ovulating so we're going to go for it.

Good luck to us both - we're going for it tonight too (DH does not know this yet as he isn't yet home from work!) Let me know how you get on x

@danielasummer yes Hun I did! He is a 3 year old now :) so very sorry about your loss. I would follow your heart and if you want to try again, then definitely do. I think they always say wait for AF so they can determine how far gone you are from the last day of your last cycle. X
