Miscarriage after IVF

After TTC for 3 years my first ivf cycle failed but my 2nd one took.
I went for an early scan this week (at just over 6 weeks) to check for a heartbeat but was told that a bleed I'd had a few days before was the start of a miscarriage. I bled @ 5wks 5 days (all day blood like a period and period like cramps without clots)
The nurses advised I still have a blood clot/ tissues which they described as irregularities in my womb so told me to stop progesterone to allow my body to naturally clear everything out.
We are completely devastated of course as this is the first time in my life I've ever managed to fall pregnant.
I've been off the progesterone for 48 hours now with no bleed, only a little brown spotting.
Really looking for advice here on what to expect?, am I suddenly going to start heavily bleeding or getting bad cramps? I know it can take a couple of weeks to complete.

This happened to me a week ago. Just went for the viability scan (also IVF) at 6+5 to be told it wasn't viable and to stop the progesterone. I had already taken an injection and a Cyclogest on the Friday but didn't take anymore. I starting bleeding on Monday midday. So sorry you're going through this. MC after IVF just adds another layer shit to an already awful experience.

I am so sorry both of you, it’s awful when you’ve gone through all of the IVF heartache for this to happen. In my case it was round 5 and I miscarried at 7 weeks. I started cramping really badly and lost most of the tissue in the first week but I was still on the progesterone at that point - a couple of days after I stopped that I bled really heavily for a couple of days. It took a week and a half for it to finish. It’s unbelievably unfair to have it all snatched away. I hope you get through it okay.

I'm so sorry to read about you all being in the same situation as me, especially the ladies who struggled with IVF to have it taken away.
I really hope you are all able to heal and go onto have a healthy pregnancy just as I am wishing for myself. The hospital called me today to book in another internal scan and blood test to check that my body is clearing it all out so I am hoping it will all be over soon

I had another scan on Friday and thankfully everything has gone. Looking forward to the next FET now, hopefully AF will arrive on time. Good luck, it's such an awful thing to go through but I'm hopeful we'll get there in the end.

Lillyleaf how long are you waiting before doing your next FET? Will you be jumping into another cycle fairly soon?
I've had my free cycles now on the NHS so will have to pay for anything moving forward but thankfully have 3 in the freezer still that I can use. My wedding is booked for next June but we will now probably postpone it for a year to give us the chance of having a baby beforehand. I just wasn't sure what was recommended between different try's

I need to wait for a proper af, hopefully around 28 days (my first MC I was further along so AF took 42 days to arrive), then on cd 21 I'll take Buserelin in down reg, I'll have another af, then around cd21 (depending on my lining) will be the transfer, so hopefully if all goes to plan i'll transfer end of aug (which should have been my due date from my first MC, I'm gutted I won't be pregnant by then, I think it would have helped). I'm very keen to get going again.
