Miscarriage/pregnancy loss

5th loss confirmed today

So sad that I'm finding myself here again. Scan today confirmed this pregnancy hasn't progressed and I've since started bleeding. Scan also detected 2 fetal poles. My last miscarriage was at Christmas and a year before that I had an ectopic. Am so grateful to have my DD, I also had two losses before her. I just feel numb. I wish I knew what is wrong with me but I don't think they'll refer me as I had an ectopic followed by 2 mcs, not 3 mcs in a row. Does anyone know? I've looked online but can't find the referral criteria for my area. I don't even know at this point if I want to keep trying but it might help give me some closure. Sorry for anyone else going through this it's just so shit.

Can you go private ? Or atleast request some blood tests to check your progesterone levels?

Would I do that via my GP?

My miscarriages weren't concurrent - I had one at 12 weeks then DC1 followed by 2 early miscarriages - I then got my referral but whilst waiting for the appointment (took 4 months for an appointment slot) I also had an ectopic - I think it depends on your hospital - my hospital actually wrote on their discharge papers for the 3rd miscarriage the recommendation to refer to the clinic so the GP was able to make the referral

I'm so sorry to hear Flowers I think it's worth trying at the GP, if you get a sympathetic one they may be willing to refer you based on your history.

So sorry for your losses, it's such an awful time. Look after yourself and allow yourself time to grieve. Thanks

Had a look on the Tommys website which was recommended by someone on here, in particular the recurrent miscarriage clinics. I emailed one in London and they have confirmed that I do meet their criteria for a referral. I haven't gone down this route before as assumed I wouldn't be eligible for tests on the nhs. Is it best to try to be referred locally first though? It also looks like the different clinics test for different things. I don't really know where to start, has anyone else been down this route?
