We have been trying to conceive since 2012. After 3 rounds of fail IVF and a miscarriage, we got lucky and our beautiful daughter was born by natural conception in 2015. Since then, we had few more failed IVFs and two miscarriages when i naturally concieved. We lost hope. Suddenly i felt pregnant and all looked fine. We saw heart beat in week 6 and 7. In week 8, there was no heart beat anymore :-( Our 3. miscarriage and this one is a missed miscarriage. My body is still in denial and I have strong pregnancy symptoms. I am crushed and going for D&C tomorrow. I will be reffered to recurrent miscarriage clinic, but I am assuming it will take months before anything happens.
Anybody with my age and similar history who managed to conceive at the end? Or all hope is out?
Anybody knows if we will be called in quickly for assessment given my age or should we consider a private clinic. We live in London. I appreciate any help or advice.

I am so sorry for what you're going through @Sagh

I am also 39 and had three MCs, two of which were missed MCs.
We were referred to the recurrent miscarriage clinic and finally were seen by a consultant a week and a half ago after a 4 month wait.

She took lots of blood from me and has booked me in for a hysteroscopy. She has advised us not to get pregnant in the next 12 weeks (10.5 now - yes I'm counting!) while they carry out investigations.

It sucks, it hurts, and you have to ignore people like saucyboi.

I really hope you get to hold your baby in your arms soon xx

Thank you @Frazzlerock for your response and I am so sorry for your losses!
4 month waiting time sounds soooo long time. By the time we get any answers, too old to try again :-( I feel the only way i can survive this is to plan my next step.
I hope you get to hold your baby very soon as well!

I'm so sorry @Sagh, this sounds like a terrible difficult situation to be in. I am in a different place - 31, first pregnancy mmc, then found out a partial molar - but after having been through all of that it is more than enough and I can't contemplate how difficult it is for you. I am sorry I don't have any advice, just wanted to give you a virtual hug.

@Sagh, then it's another 3 month wait while they investigate. It's so shit.

If you can afford to go private then do it. I wish I could.

@Frazzlerock, thanks for information! It sounds so long time :-( I probably need to check how much private costs :-(
