I conceived pretty quickly after 12 week miscarriage. Baby is now 4. Sorry for your loss. Look after yourself x

Please consider waiting for a normal period before trying again. It gives your body (more specifically your womb) time to recover x

I agree, wait untill after your first period after miscarriage, can cause other complications for you, doctors/midwives will always tell you to wait untill after your first period & then go from there. Good Luck x

I was told at the hospital yesterday that the waiting until after your first period is for selfish reasons only - so they can date pregnancy. No suggestion that conceiving before then would increase chances of another miscarriage.

The recommended wait time isn't always selfish on the part of the hospital......your body has been through a traumatic event and your uterine lining needs to recover. If you don't wait you put yourself at risk of another miscarriage (I know as I didn't wait and had back to back miscarriages followed by a near fatal ectopic as the miscarriages has caused a build up of fluid in one of my tubes)

Sorry to hear that. I'm just going on what they told me at the hospital during my scans and SMM.

That's very soon. You need time to heal and recover.

The guidelines used to be six months to let your body heal but has changed now.

I miscarried last year and was pregnant four weeks later. The only reason you are told to wait a period is for dating purposes, and some evidence shows that pregnancies immediately after miscarriages have a better rate of success

Sorry for your loss.

I miscarriedy first pregnancy at 20 weeks when I was 21. I then had two successful pregnancies followed by another miscarriage and then another successful pregnancy.
I got pregnant 6 weeks after my second miscarriage and it was hard going as it felt like the longest pregnancy ever but worth it!

Hi love, I’m the same age as you. I MC’d one baby at 6 weeks when I was only 16. The next one i miscarried at 5 weeks when I was 19, I had DD (now 5) when I was 20 - easy pregnancy and birth. Then another MC at 6 weeks, an early MC (positive test the day before my period was due, started bleeding two days later) and then a MMC in June last year at 11 weeks. Currently 29 weeks pregnant with DD2.
