Hi lovely am really sorry for your loss - I also went for a scan yesterday and found no heartbeat. I've started bleeding already and the pain is like a really bad period pain so far.

Am booked in to see EGAS tomorrow to discuss options/scan to see if I need the medication or not. Like you, id rather not either. All I can say is that my body feels like it has already started the job it needs to do. So perhaps wait but if it goes on too long reconsider the options.

Xx

So sorry for your loss.

The same happened to me in May with similar timings and I chose to have the pessary straight away. I don't regret it at all as once I knew it was over I needed to know that I had done something to move things on, if that makes sense? I was prescribed cocodomol by the hospital which helped the first 24 hours and ibuprofen worked fine after that. It was still dreadful but I felt not nearly as bad as waiting for something to happen and not knowing when it might.

There are (sadly) lots of great and very supportive boards on here for this, please keep talking.

So sorry for your loss.
When I had a missed miscarriage I started bleeding and miscarried naturally about a week later. I always felt like once I knew there wasn't a heartbeat my body finally figured it out.
There's no right or wrong. Be kind to yourself.
