Worried about miscarrying again

Hi, I’m 39, I had a silent miscarriage in April 2018 at approx 7 weeks. I had to go to hospital to get medication to bring the process on which was awful.
I’ve since found out I’m pregnant again, the first day of my last period was 26th June. I’m terrified as I don’t feel any symptoms other than being very tired. No sore breasts, no sickness. Just terrified I’m going to start bleeding or get to my first scan and find out it’s hsppened again :( trying not to worry but just wish I felt pregnant... I’ve done 3 tests so definitely am. Any advice or similar experiences?

With my first pregnancy - which I lost at 22 weeks, I had all the symptoms by the book, sore breast, tired, ..... for the following 3 none of them. Only a candida for DS2.

I think tired is a strong symptom!
Go to the GP for a blood test which will confirm pregnancy and the hormones level.
Between DS1 and DS2 , I lost another baby at 16 weeks.
For DS2 I spent the 9 pregnancy months checking my underwear every time I went for a wee.
You can't help being scared of another MS, but you can have a good outcome after one.
Take it easy, slow down on coffee and tea and any other blood thinning food, rest, eat a ton of veggies (so when baby is born he will have a taste for them) and never be afraid to be a bother or ridicule if you think something isn't right.

When I lost my first, I was in hospital bed next to a woman who was bleeding buckets and crying all the time because she had a placenta previa. In my head, I was glad, my case was just cramping. Two days later I lost the baby and that woman ended up with a baby girl months later - we kept in touch at that time.
SO you never know. You feel funny, you see spotting, ask for a visit.

I felt funny and went to the hospital, and the trainee told me with a very serious face " I know what you have, it is called first baby syndrome" and he sent me away. When I woke up one night with contractions and went again, they sent me away telling me to drink camomile tea. The third time, they admitted me and I went later home with no baby.

My point is, reach out, my first baby might have been saved or maybe not, I will never know, but I should have been firmer that something wasn't right.

My best of luck

I don’t have any specific advice but the same thing happened to me as well so I can definitely relate! I dealt with it by just not thinking about it until after the first scan. Luckily though my EPU were happy to give me an early scan at around 7-8 weeks which was very reassuring. Is that something you can get? Chances are, everything will be fine this time so try not to worry too much (I know easier said than done).

I completely understand how you feel. I am 41 and have had two miscarriages in the past year, one at 9 weeks and one at 6 weeks. Both were missed, and I had to have an ERPC for each. I am now pregnant with almost exactly the same dates as you - my lmp was 24th June. I had some initial symptoms, before getting strong bfps from 9dpo onwards. At around 5 weeks, I had extremely strong and painful cramps which lasted the weekend, then my symptoms disappeared overnight. I assumed it was a chemical pregnancy, but the pregnancy tests have continued to darken. After a week of no symptoms and no bleeding, I went to the epu due to the cramping, and a scan found a baby measuring correctly for the dates with a heartbeat. I could not believe it! In just the past few days, I've started to feel a bit sick and slightly sore breasts, I am also very tired. So in answer to your post, it is quite possible to be pregnant with no symptoms. Could you request an early scan due to your history, or perhaps book a private scan? It is such a worrying time. I think I worry every second of every day - I may have got past 6 weeks, but the next milestone is 9 weeks, and I am convinced I'll lose this one too. I'm just trying to take one day at a time. Wishing you all the best.

Islaimogen2010 I wondered how you are? I have lost all the symptoms that I did have in the past couple of days and fearing the worst. Trying to remind myself that this time last week I still didn't feel pregnant, but the scan confirmed I was, while at the same time not wanting to get my hopes up too much.
