Giving up after IVF?

Hi, just wondered if anyone here decided to give up on IVF while they still had frozen embryos left over? I'm currently 8 weeks pregnant but expecting a miscarriage (bad first scan, baby measuring too small and weak heartbeat). This was our third FET and I just feel like I don't want to go through it again, the physical and emotional toll has been so great.

The problem is we still have 5 healthy frozen embryos, and I worry that I might feel weird/bad/guilty having them destroyed. But I am just not sure I can cope with another round... Just wondered if anyone here has been in the same situation, and how you coped? Thanks

Hi Pegs11,
I am in a similar situation as yourself; we had 3 rounds of icsi (self funded as DH has children from past relationship) and we were thrilled the last one worked. Went for my 12 weeks scan last week to find I'd had a missed miscarriage. We don't have any frozen embryos unfortunately. My head is all over the place at the moment, I couldn't say what we will do in the future. I just know it took so much out of me to get where we were (and financially drained us) and the thought of going through all of it again fills me with dread.
My advice to you would be don't make any knee jerk decisions just yet, everything is still so raw, emotions are high. Give yourself plenty of time to process it all.
Sending best wishes x

Hi Yorkshirelass, I'm so sorry for your loss. I hope you are able to process it and move forward in the gentlest and most positive way possible. Big love to you xxx
