Miscarriage/pregnancy loss

When does the bleeding start on a missed miscarriage

So basically I got admitted to hospital on Friday with horrendous pains in my lower belly going down to my private areas! The doctor told me I was pregnant and did a blood test and then repeated it 48 hours later! They said the hormone level had dropped and it was a miscarriage just need to wait for my body to catch up and let 'nature take its cause' and sent me home! I've still had no bleeding but still in so much pain! Has anybody had this and when did the bleeding or the loss start to happen?
Please help I can't cope with much more of the pain!

Iv had 2 mc first one I started bleeding straight away, that's how I knew, the second one I didn't start to bleed and had to have the d and c, I don't think there is a set time on it tbh Flowers

I'm so sorry you find yourself here OP. It's such a horrible thing to go through and waiting is just emotionally painful. As PP said there isn't really a set time I believe, everyone is different.

From finding out our baby had died and my natural mc it was 1 week. Was 11+4 when we found out baby had died at a scan at the EPU because I knew something was wrong but didn't have the natural mc until 12+3, the night before I due back at the EPU for a second scan to confirm mc.

I hope that you don't have to wait much longer and when it happens it's a quick and painless process Flowers

So sorry this has happened to you OP

I had a mmc last month, diagnosed at a scan at 11+6 due to my having pains and spotting. I was sent home and booked in for a week later for another scan, and advised that if if didnt happen naturally then they would look at medical or surgical options. The mc started naturally at 12+2.

It is different for everyone though, there's no real expected time. Take care Flowers

Sorry to hear you are in this situation Thanks
Like others have said it can vary massively - for me it took a week from finding out there was no heartbeat, but the baby had probably died 1-2 weeks before that. If you are in a lot of pain and unable to cope, the hospital should be able to treat you so don't be afraid of going back to A+E if you need to. Yes it's natural, but that doesn't mean they should deny you medical care if you feel unwell. Have you got someone at home with you?
