Miscarriage/pregnancy loss

Warning:graphic photo. What's just come out of me?

WARNING : graphic picture

No idea if I've posted this in the right place? I don't know if it's to do with my miscarriage or not. Seems a long time for stuff to still be coming out.

I'm really worried this thing just came out of me and I have no idea what it was. I had my second miscarriage in December 2017 and things haven't been right since. Periods are all over the place and instrumental bleeding and cramps. Night before last the bleeding got really heavy and I had agonising cramps. I then had no bleeding and all of a sudden passed...whatever it is.

It's quite heavy, fleshy but hard like the end of your nose, no smell...any ideas?

I'll go to the GP Tuesday after bank holiday. Just really worried.

Looks like a fibroid. My guess is if you dig your fingers in, it’ll fall apart like liver eventually.

Honey I have no idea but i didn’t want to read and run.
Everything I lost in my MC was similar but more soft and loose than than.
Keep hold of it and get to the doctor.

It's pregnancy tissue.

Mine looked exactly the same, brain-like texture.

It'll be your body getting rid of whatever's left

Just read that your MC was in 2017, ignore my last post!

Uterine shred?

Do you have a walk-in centre? I'd be considering getting some medical attention now if you can, you don't know if there's anything left in there.
Hope you're ok.

I had a thing like that come out a few weeks after an ERPC following a miscarriage. I felt much better afterwards.

I didn't bag it (was at a work conference) and I didn't go to the doctor (probably stupid of me). I was fine afterwards, felt normal for the first time in ages the next day.

I mc an intact foetus +sac at 8 weeks and looked absolutely nothing like that at all.
I would say fibroid or lining.

I'm not sure I'm afraid but I would try and get some medical attention before Tuesday if you can.

R u ok op? I have no advice but hope you are doing ok. To people saying fibroids... do these actually leave your body like this?? Im having a strange time with periods at the moment and i know i have fibroids wondering if they are getting worse. Been getting really bad period pains but no actual period for a while. X

Yes I am okay. Called 111 and they seem to think it's not important at all. Told me to go in Tuesday to my GP and to chuck it away. Confused

Could be a decidual cast. I had one of these, it was absolute agony!! Mine was lighter in colour than this but about the size of my palm.

Did you go to the doctors?

Report
FH14 · 30/05/2018 07:23

I went to the doctors yesterday and he said he had no idea what it was and to just let him know if anything else happens. Nobody understands how crap and unhelpful my GP is 😒

Why not complain about your GP?

Leave a review on NHS choices and think about contacting the practice manager.

Gosh. I am truly shocked at the casual and dismissive attitude of your GP.

Is there a practice nurse you could talk to, who might be able to put you in touch with a midwife or someone else specialised in maternity care?

Report

I rang the local midwife and EPAU before booking my GP appointment because I know how little my GP cares and unfortunately both said I had to go to my GP first. I am going to complain actually. Been with this GP since being little and it's not just this stuff he doesn't care about. It's anything 😒

I passed one exactly like that (maybe a bit smaller, but not much) one month after my miscarriage. I was waiting for my first post-mc period and it was so painful that I went to the EPU. They told me it was retained tissue from the miscarriage. Your GP sounds a bit shit tbh.

Looks like a blood clot?

Report
NotARegularPenguin · 31/05/2018 07:32

But then blood clots don’t tend to be heavy/nose texture. They can be quite solid but will normally break up if poked. So not sure, sorry.
