Hi everyone.
My first pregnancy sadly ended in a MMC and subsequent ERPC on the 11th of April. The operation went fine, aside from me needing to be kept in overnight because my heartrate and temperature kept spiking. Aside from that it was fine and I recovered well.
I bled for about ten days afterwards, but it wasn't too bad. The first 24 hours were fairly heavy, but after that it was like the tail end of a period.
I started my first period since my miscarriage on Wednesday night. It was quite light to begin with, but within 24 hours has increased to the point now where it's very very heavy. The heaviest period I've ever had!
Normally my periods are moderately heavy but this is a whole 'nother level. I went to bed wearing TWO maxi night pads last night and soaked through both of them. Pad, underwear, PJs, bedsheets... all soaked.
I've had to go out and stock up on the maximum absorbency pad I can find as my regular ones are filled within 45 minutes! I'm also passing lots of little clots. This is hellish!
Is this heavy a period normal after a miscarriage/ERPC? The nurse at the hospital warned me it may be 'slightly heavier than normal' but this is a whole new level of bleeding!
This sucks
