Wondered if there were other ladies who may have just had a miscarriage confirmed and would appreciate a space to chat and support as we progress through this. I'm 38, this is my 4th pregnancy #1 miscarriage at 6w4d, #2 twin m/c at 8w4d, #3 successful pregnancy with daughter, #4 confirmed miscarriage at 8w1d. Only a pregnancy sac seen, blood test taken and further bloods on Fri. Doing OK at the moment but experience tells me this is a roller-coaster.

I miscarried my 4th pregnancy last week. I was 11+3 by lmp. Was thrown a bit as it’s my first miscarriage. It was natural but I was admitted to hospital due to blood loss. I don’t know if I can offer any advice but feel free to message me if you need a shoulder x

Thanks for your replies and care. I hadn't realised about this section. My hormone levels have decreased but still have not passed it, feel that I can't move forward while it and I are stuck.

Hi @maverick79 - I had my miscarriage confirmed at the Early Pregnancy Unit on Friday.

My first M/C, I have one child and we have been trying for three years for a second. Feeling a bit numb. How are you?

Hi all
Found out on Sunday we would be expecting baby number 1 but now that’s not happening because, I hate having to write this, but I started bleeding this morning 😢 started about 8am as spotting then by 9am was full flow blood so I rang the midwife and she said to keep an eye on it with the cramping too and call back in a couple of hours. By midday it became like a heavy period with pains so I called back and she’s confirmed it’s most likely an early miscarriage however they cannot do any scans as I was only 5 weeks today. I have to wait 10 days and POAS which will more than likely be a big fat negative which I’m already fucking dreading 😭😭😭
We are trying to take a silver lining away from this that at least we can get pregnant as just in February we were told by a gynaecologist it was unlikely we would conceive naturally due to me having PCOS. Yet somehow, the first time I naturally ovulated we fell pregnant! Kind of knew it was to good to be true 😔😭
We told our parents on Monday so we will go and break the news to them tonight. Some may think we were too soon in telling them but we want them involved in this, even during this time as we feel they’ll be a good support to us 💕 xxx
Hope you’re all coping ❤️ I’m meant to be back to work on Friday after 2 rota days off but I’m not sure I’ll want to go 😢 xxx

Sorry to learn of your loss @maverick79. Flowers

We have just suffered our third miscarriage as of last week, we were 11wks and saw a heartbeat at 7wks. Previous miscarriages were at 10wks, 6wks and a chemical pregnancy in between times.

We have opted to have the pregnancy tested given it’s our third recorded miscarriage, and have been referred to the Recurrent Miscarriage Clinic. Hoping to get some answers and weigh up our options for trying again. We have DS who is 4yrs, conceived before these miscarriages.

Sorry to hear of your losses too @KeefBurtain, @ToesInWater, @Jarline and @littleemma1. Flowers

I never realised how common miscarriage was until I suffered from one and found these types of discussion boards. A lot is not understood in this area unfortunately. Angry

Sorry to read you've also miscarried. It is just so awful and upsetting. Agree with @PineapplePrincess I had no idea how common miscarriage was. :(

Sorry for all the losses.

My gp said that if you take unknown chemical pregnancies, where women just think they’ve had a late period unaware they’re pregnant, into consideration, the rate of miscarriage is possibly higher than the 1 in 3 statistic.
