Miscarriage/pregnancy loss

Trying again

Hi,

Posting for the first time as having just recently experienced a miscarriage at 6 weeks, I found it so so useful to come to this site, read others experiences and basically just know I am definitely not alone.

I am recently married, had been taking the pill for 10+ years and fell pregnant quickly. Couldn’t believe it had happened and many positive tests later over the course of a few days allowed myself to believe that wow it’s happening... unfortunately I started spotting which I know can be very normal early on but that after a few days turned to slight bleeding and then whilst at the EPU the cramps started and I knew. Miscarriage confirmed by ultrasound that there was nothing now there...

It took 2 full weeks for the on-off bleeding to stop which i found surprising and also made me feel frustrated. It then took another 10 days to get a negative pregnancy test which I found upsetting - feeling annoyed at seeing the word pregnant just made me feel very sad and powerless - hard to explain. Last Sunday my test said negative which was another bag of emotions - relief and also sadness again... anyway we have decided not to wait for first AF and to just see what happens. It feels good to know that there is the opportunity to conceive once again and feel a bit more in control of my body - am just hoping that it happens quickly.
Sending lots of love to anyone going through their own struggles xxx
