I thought I was around 8 weeks pregnant. Started to get cramps on Sunday with brown discharge. HCG was 6000. Went to have a scan (abdominal and internal). The sonographer thought she saw something that could be a gestational sac that’s around 5 weeks. Scan was difficult as I have a retroverted uterus. Anyway I’m pretty sure of my dates so was disappointed. Went home and after the scan cramping became really severe (not like anything I’ve experienced before) I felt like I passed something but I couldn’t see anything in the toilet except blood and a few fibres. Cramps reduced after that but I’ve still been having them and for maybe half an hour every few hours they become very painful. Had one blackish red clot. The blood on my pad is always dark brown but when I go to pee there’s always a splash of brighter blood in my urine.
I’ve resigned myself to the fact that it’s a miscarriage. If I hadn’t had such severe cramps I may have had some hope. Not sure why I’m writing this. Had another blood test today but the GP ones take up to a week for results and then after that I guess I will have another scan. The waiting is tough. I just want to know and get on with life
