Just been and picked up the news that baby had trisomy of chromosome 21 aka downs syndrome. We have been referred for karyotyping blood tests to see if this was a spontaneous mutation (unlikely) or not. So answers but no answers.

Thank you. I've literally got none. Everyone is wrapped up in their own pregnancies and dh doesn't want to talk about it until the blood tests come back.

So sorry play 💐 I found out my 16 week pregnancy had to be terminated after the Harmony detected Edwards Syndrome (trisomy 18). It was and still is very painful, had surgery to end the pregnancy 2 weeks ago tomorrow. Keep talking to us and I hope your husband is more supportive once the news sinks in.

It's a massive bombshell for you both and screening/ diagnosis is such a tough lonely process. Please just take your time and seek all the information you can. Have you got a good GP, friendly practice nurse, friends or family who've been through health issues? There's no right or wrong solutions these things shouldn't happen, only the right decisions for you and your partner. Flowers

I'm sorry you have to wait more op. When I was waiting I found doing some research really helpful. Knowing as much as you can about your situation and what others have done really prepares you.

I'm sorry I can't be of more help as it is so hard.

I'm so sorry Play. My last pregnancy ended in May at 14 weeks (I think we may have been on the same antenatal thread), and after a two month wait test results showed T13 (Patau Syndrome). After a chat with the consultant we've put it down to my age and pure dumb luck, so didn't opt to get ourselves tested.

I hope you get more answers soon, keep talking to us though. Flowers
