How quickly can I get a d&c after MMC confirmed?

I'm having a scan on Wedneday next week to confirm a MMC, does anybody know how quickly they will offer me to come in for a d&c please? The waiting is killing me at this point, I just want it to be over now so I can start to move on. :(

Mine was 2 days later. I think they have to do it within a certain time frame from confirmation so you will be booked in pretty quickly. I'm sorry for your loss xx

I've had this. Nhs wouldn't do me for 5 days and really wanted me to lose naturally. They were pretty rubbish truth be told (not a criticism of the NHS but they were obviously swamped and I wasn't an emergency) do you have private healthcare? I got it done the same day. It was hideous emotionally but much nicer in a private hospital. recovery was very quick and I was at work 2 days later

First time NHS were having none of it and wanted me to do it natural. Second time i got an erpc the next day. Stand your ground and be firm. Sorry if that is the outcome.

It depends on how busy the unit is, it's impossible to say.

Found out about MMC at private scan on the Friday. NHS confirmed on the Monday. In on the Wednesday for tablets to bring it on.....super painful process. Labour like in fact.

I was still bleeding 6 weeks later before I got D&C to remove retained tissue (after much anguish and begging GP to re-refer rather than put me on the antibiotics he was suggesting. )

I've had two mvas and one erpc, and waited a week/three days and two days. It really just depends when they have a free slot. My hospital also only does them on certain days of the week.

Both times had erpcs the same day. I knew something was up the first time and while the second was a completely out of the blue MMC I was paranoid so I had fasted both times, which helps. I was relieved to have it over with.
Flowers to OP, everyone who has gone through this and especially everyone who has had to wait for the procedure.

I was no where near ready once I'd been told my baby's heart had stopped so I chose to wait a few days (four), but I was offered a slot the next day.

I'm so sorry. I hope things get better for you xx

Depending on time if your scan and availability can be that day or the next. Shouldn't need to be kept waiting. hospitals have afternoon emergency surgery lists available.

I had to wait around 9/10 days but it totally depends on surgery availability
